I stayed at Starkey last week and your thinking is correct, I was BB crawlers in 25 FOW and catching walleyes. Points is where I got most of my eyes .....I trolled big swim baits for striper at dark and early in the morning and got three...nothing big 10lbs, got them in the channel 25 ft down .
I have a legend series rod that broke while lifting fish in the boat ...my question is does anyone know if they have a life time warranty?.....I emailed St. Croix but they’ve yet to reply....I have the rod probably 8 years so receipt is long gone...thanks
Lonnie next weekend at BPS in Springfield the Spring Fishing Classic will be going on and Keith Kavajecz will be doing a seminar on walleye fishing.....there will be good info , you seem to be interested in learning walleye techniques.

Congrats Ryan!
The walleye bite has been really good lately and yesterday was another fun trip. I've been catching them on spinner/crawlers and few on jigs. 25-30 ft has been the consistent depth I'm catching them at . They are really fat and healthy which is great to see , I know there for a couple years they were skinny. I do my fishing from the Dam to Pt 6. I caught a limit yesterday and a few shorts but only brought 3 in.
The biggest fish had eggs , were those eggs absorbed and not laid this spring or has the developing stage already begun?.....I have never caught one in August with eggs .
