  1. Thanks a lot! That fish was just glowing in the sun!!! Love it
  2. Thanks a lot !!! Been on the hunt for a 30 incher, feel like this puts me within striking range
  3. Oops forgot to include the bald eagle to was posing so nicely for us
  4. Lol I think when a guide takes your picture they force you to take pics like that
  5. Ran down to Norfork Tailwater on Sunday with my pops and one of my buddies. We did the almost 10 mile excursion…….4.5 miles from the Dam down to the confluence with the White, and another 5 miles down the White River to Red’s Landing. My dad and buddy were both cussing me for the last mile or two of the white as they weren’t running any water and it got rather lakey. The fishing was worth it though if you ask me! To start the day at The Norfork dam, my dad didn’t want to wait outside in the cold weather while we shuttled, so he took the shuttle job while I stayed at the ramp and got gear ready. I guess karma was shining down on me for the fact that I restrung two of my buddies reels with new fluorocarbon while waiting, and the fact that I let my dad avoid having to wait in 30 degree temps at the ramp. After about a dozen casts from the ramp, my jerkbait my got absolutely demolished by a big brown. The fish came flying out of the water and put up an awesome battle. Luckily for me, there was a nice guide launching his boat at about the same time who offered to net the fish and also measure it on his bump board. Ended up being 27 inches and was just super thick and healthy. After the initial excitement at the ramp, I didn’t feel much pressure for the float haha. We ended up having an excellent day on the float though too. My buddy Josh got the nicest brown on the white portion. I believe I also got my first cutthroat, plus some really nice browns and rainbows. Overall, an excellent day with awesome weather and great fishing. I’d say well worth the tough paddling at the end of the day. Hard to beat a day like this in November!!!
  6. They ran water hard in the morning yesterday. I think that might have helped clear a little moss out of the picture for the afternoon jerkbait session with my pops. They were aggressive for a few hours! Some gorgeous fish that fought hard! Even caught a big old sucker that I really thought/wished was a walleye
  7. Rainbows do successfully reproduce there, browns not so much
  8. They don’t succeed in reproducing in the current unfortunately. I don’t know if anyone knows why. I’ve heard the water chemistry theory and I’ve also heard since they spawn much earlier than rainbows do here, the water is warmer than needed at the time that they’re fired up
  9. Neither lol . Harmless water snake & mud puppy
  10. That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing
  11. Interesting, I stand corrected! I guess I had no clue because I never scroll down that far lol. So here’s My vote for adding walleye talk to the top section where there is smallmouth, trout, and striper talk
  12. I love how we have the three sections on here for trout, smallmouth & stripers. Have you all ever considered having a section for walleye? You know how the walleye guys are, tight lipped about their spots but maybe we would get more content on here if there was a general walleye section that wasn’t tied to any specific body of water? Just a thought ! Love me a good gravel lizard. I catch most of mine on megabass Jerkbaits and casting Berkeley flicker minnows, although I do stoop to the jig n minnow in the late winter / early spring
  13. Hey two white bass at once is probably pretty fun! I had the insulting double of a creek Chub with a tiny wild rainbow on the fly rod with a hopper and dropper setup when doing the trout slam lol
