Found a flea market open. Did I miss that the essential business thing is over or was that it was not a statewide deal and up to the local cities to enforce? Anyway I put on my mask and slipped in looking for cast iron. Nothing in my price range or they had been damaged by the dreaded wire brush . I did see something and instantly thought of @Mitch f

Not yet! I do forage for more than shrooms. Lots of wild garlic with big heads. They are up and doing good now. In a couple months I will be pulling and bundling garlic for drying.

Ok this probably needs to be in just funny stuff but it applies here maybe a bit more. Maybe it will slow down the finger pointing just a bit at least temporary . I have a friend his name is Spike. Tim(Spike) Davis. One of the nicest people I know with faith not to be matched. Inner city Chicago. Website http://redjawcartoons.com/about/ I couldn't get the cartoons to pull up on his site but read about him there. He does have a facebook page you can see more of his work on. https://www.facebook.com/Redjaw-Cartoons-270313882987119/ We have three he just sent me and here is the first,

Oh buddy I am totally with you on green bells. Raw for sure , tolerated cooked but better not be much. Sweet bells are the bomb. Creamed peas are baby...…………………..Well we will make it nice and say puke but whole raw peas are good shelled right in the garden. With whole cooked peas ok if you are out of sweet corn.

Lunch was a hot open face meatball sandwich. Too much sauce for a top . Some smoked Colby Jack melted on it.

You are right Rick quality equals taste! No room for much beef here in limited storage. When we want a special burger We do 1/2 pound ground sirloin , 1/2 pound brisket and 1/2 boneless short rib and grind it ourselves with a course die. Then grill to a medium rare. Dang now I want one .

So what is the perennial herbs you have in your garden? So we have sage. I do dry some but it takes winter really well. At thanksgiving and Christmas I have picked it and used it fresh. Strange I know but it works. Then Oregano. We have two types. Mexican And I guess regular. It started many years ago as a single plant I cannot remember the exact type. It can get quite invasive as you can see. I had orders this morning to do some trimming and dehydrating of it. I hardly put a dent in it but will be an ongoing process. A weed eater does wonders and is Pat's favorite method of control . So my bender over does not work so well I got a stool and began trimming. Inside for a swish in a sink of water to get off anything not wanted. Then started loading dehydrator trays. I used to just tear of each leaf to do this. half of them fell through the trays. Decided to try a couple other methods today. On some trays I placed the whole stem. Then when dry I could roll stem over bowl letting leaves fall and discard stem. Then some I cut the stem sections off between the opposing leaves. I am liking this better. Can get more on each tray. We will see how that goes. Then loaded up the dehydrator. Other herbs are lemon thyme and German thyme. Pretty hardy stuff too. The one in the tub has gone two years and roots take the freeze. During season we use everything fresh. I may try to dehydrate some of the thyme this year. Then we have some garlic chives. You need to control this too as it can spread fast. I have tried to dehydrate it but it just doesn't seem to dry out. Not sure if it has an oil in it or the skin on leaves will not let the moisture out? I know you can go to store and get this stuff in a convenient jar of bottle but just like homegrown tomatoes it does not compare in my opinion. We will buy annual herbs like basil and rosemary and put in pots to use fresh and dehydrate. Have some mint also. In flower bed behind house. Really invasive I have to go berserk on it from time to time. Everything is used fresh during season.

Yep I agree fully Heck our own government "let" almost two thousand "walk" out of the united states straight to the Mexican drug cartel. Go figure.

I've seen it like that on the weir dam before. It makes it really hard when you have to pee real bad. Navery I really, really enjoy your reports. You have them dialed in!

True but they don't have to be. I have taken deer, coyote, and many targets with mine. It has never been to war. There have been many, many, weapons of war. From the knapped stone blade, stone ax head, bow and arrow, then weapons of the metal age. On and on to here and now but none of these have to be a weapon of war. Your everyday pocket knife could be a weapon of war if you are inclined to use it that way. They are a tool a simple tool if used in the appropriate way. There are people that do not need them for any reason I agree but there are also the ones who should not drive too. I am not picking on you Rick my friend. You just gave me a platform to spout off .

Come to think about it I have had my mouth washed out with soap a time of two. That would be considered abuse nowadays.

Well I seen what chemo did to my Mrs. It was tough and I held her hand through it all but without it she would not be here. She said to tell you she would do it again. Now to the president and his cleansing remark from the inside. He said it needs to be looked into by the experts. In no way did he say to do it. Who would of thought not so long ago that a toxic cocktail as chemotherapy would cure some types of cancer? Who would of thought not so long ago pinpoint radiation would shrink cancer tumors ? Sad thing is someone not thinking right will drink some disinfectant . Without thinking outside the box we would never be where we are now?

JD thanks for asking. Its pretty sad here. I lost both hives. My main one that had both main bodies full of honey and then the one captured single box full. I am perplexed and miss my buzzing friends. I left one box out with old comb. There is a wild hive close. They actually cleaned out the comp completely. If they swarm I hope they find me.
