Everyone wants smellavision. I want tasteavision, BilletHead

You don't have enough money for the limited edition one. I have seen and even touched one then wiped off the fingerprints. The things are even better in person, truthfully they are, BilletHead

Neat, We get to see that pretty regularly farther north. Around Truman lake especially. In one of the rivers that dump into Truman with steep bluffs the things are on you and up the river and gone before you know it! I think the ones we see are coming out of Whiteman AFB, BilletHead

Yes and I bet he will argue less with me about fish species and natives vs non natives. Still have some flu-flu arrows and some aerial targets for him. Not sure if the targets are good still but the bucket of arrows is. I will undo everything you have taught him and fix it . NOT really, BilletHead

Well at least some of us can say we knew him before he hit it big time . We knew him when he was just a top notch guide in Alaska . Now he runs a custom bait manufacturing company. Someday folks will covet these lures like the wigglewort. They will be traded and put in display boxes and handed down for generations. Dang, BilletHead

No you have not failed, the seed is planted and I should redo my remark, We fisherman as parents and grandparents should try to get this done. Just talked to BilletHead Jr. He said she picked this course instead of art and the little gal is quite and artist. I have so much hope!

I don't have really any input on this. I seeing it work both ways. I taught myself and then taught Pat. That may not be saying much but it worked. I continually Give input to Pat's casting and in turn she watches me as we fish critiquing me. It works for us. We never stop learning. I will be watching this thread closely. We have two grandchildren in Springfield. Neither so far has shown much interest. Cooper the grandson is like most nowadays has a game stuck in his hand, Emma the granddaughter not as much and is even in school this year taking an outdoor class and will be shooting and getting her hunter education card. In the class there will be fly fishing. I am getting giddy thinking I can pass on what we know and hoping both kids take the bait. We as fishermen and parents /Grandparents need to get this done. We are loosing the hunting battle and need to keep the fishing battle alive and healthy, BilletHead

Yea I forgot about your looks . You would more likely be one of my offspring. I told you that our son could pass for a DJ. Man that is scary. I hope you and CLoyd can cross paths someday or night, BilletHead
-
DJ, Are you wondering the same thing as I am? Could you and CLoyd be long lost twins? Good on you guys for you two for being so mad at them you fish at all hours of the day! BilletHead

What I was referring to was you pushing your agenda on myself and I am sure others. The reason I posted this was this had nothing to do with carp period. But as with many posts folks start you interject and twist it to carp. I don't hate carp. I haven't killed a carp for many years and that was with a bow. I turn them loose when I catch one. Again I don't hate carp but do believe they do not belong here. What I dislike is you pushing your agenda where it doesn't belong. Start a thread on something else. Current photos of these giant bluegill, red ears, walleye, bass white bass, hybrids, various catfish etc. that you catch. Not pictures of anyone else and the fish they catch. We may be interested in that, BilletHead

Go figure, A post that starts about a man the artist and a woman truly in love and a multi species fly angler has instantly turned to carp. If I wanted to talk about carp I would of put it in the carp the other white meat topic. I suppose we all should know that by now. BilletHead

He calls his wife granny in his blog, so that could mean something , BilletHead

@Johnsfolly And @Ham also to the rest of you , I see some of my friends in here and a little of Pat and I, BilletHead

@Johnsfolly, Tied up a few hopper and attractors for JohnsFolly. Some pink and purple bodied pookies. Then some Hippie stompers in Royal and Black over Pink. Only stipulation he has to share with Livie and they have to be used on the fly rod. BilletHead

Nice Report man! Every one of those rocks give our boats and ourselves character. The BilletHead knows a lot about the "Pucker Factor". BilletHead -
Indian Point area short report and Note of Thanks
BilletHead replied to bobby b.'s topic in Table Rock Lake
That is a nice thing to say Bobby, I cant think of another place to hang out and learn. I too ask questions and get answers. Even the areas like Table Rock I don't fish I read on here and all places. A cannot help but pick up something informative in those places. Again good post and may your learning curve continue. BilletHead -
That's why you are so skinny. It is the worms! This salad is good just by itself but the smoked fist takes it over the top. I see sliced seared and smoked duck in it too, BilletHead

Vietnamese smoked fish salad, Pretty easy actually. Sweet, sour, salty, meaty and spicy. Then there is the smoked aspect. For the fish I thawed out some of the spring caught white bass. Needed to use it up as white bass will get strong if frozen long. Did a hot smoke and did not brine the fish. Just a sprinkle of salt and into the smoker until done. 240 to 250 degrees, Made the dressing and salad added the fish. Made a cooker of rice. Served salad over the rice, BilletHead

We tossed just a few tomato related items into the compost until I questioned it. The rest and clean up went into a brush pile for burning. BilletHead
