  1. Ok foodies the eggs have been smoked and packed away for a couple of weeks. Did a batch of nineteen, had a big pickle jar. Used the recipe provided but also put in some pepper from hell dust. So what is this I speak of? Well I smoked peppers from last season and then dehydrated them. This dried smoked pepper mix was then blended to a dust. It is amazing but very potent. So a tablespoon was added to the pickle mix. Eggs out of the smoker, Dust from hell, The results, Everything is in the fridge resting, BilletHead
  2. Oh man I am so jealous of you right now! Thanks for making my day, BilletHead
  3. Got my batch in the smoker getting happy right now. BilletHead
  4. My thoughts exactly Terrierman. Not sure if it is the right tunnel configuration but I bet it would work. Got one though but this rig would be a builder for someone. Nice boat oneshot, BilletHead
  5. So many possibilities in a rig like this, BilletHead

  10. Yes they are. Caught until I got tired of them today. Twenty foot radius. If I hit the circle every cast on a three inch burnt orange/brownish wooly booger. I bet ninety percent were dark like this. Eight to ten inchers. What a hoot! BilletHead
  11. Pulled the remaining lettuce this morning. Worked up nine gallon bags of nice leaves. Will have to spread the good fortune in the morning. Also yanked the broccoli. The stuff just did not make and what did were dollar sized heads. Do not know what went wrong but may not mess with it in the future. So what to do with the empty bed? Purchased a couple of zucchini plants. A black beauty and a golden. Two more pepper plants also. Cubanelles, we did not start any of them this time but really like this variety, Found first tomato and pepper of our season too, Also got nailed on the ear by a red wasp. Have never had then this aggressive this time of the year. Normally during the fall they get very mean and go to dive bombing when you get close. They are in the corner outside eve of the metal garage. High up. I watched them after todays attack. There are two guards that just watch as I go by. Kept my distance and will be getting one of those long distance spray cans and take them out. BilletHead
  12. Never really tried but me thinks I should, I just guess and do the miracle grow for veggies two or three times a season. Usually amend my raised bed soil each season with a new bag or two that has fertilizer added like miracle grow soils, BilletHead

  16. Sometimes we get our bowels in an uproar or our panties in a wad on here. So at times we need a little humor to make us smile. I have a friend who is a cartoonist and he sent me this the other day and I thought of all of us on the forum Phil has provided for us . So I thought I would share and hopefully make some of us smile. Only thing I see missing from this cartoon is a Ned thingy hanging from this poor fishes mouth. Could it be on the way as the spinner bait went? (tongue in cheek). So enjoy and if you get a chance visit redjawcartoons.com and give it a look see. BilletHead

  24. You know the more I read this it makes me want to post, Do what you want and spend what you want on your cooler or anything else in life you want. I have two Yeti coolers and like them very much. I don't have the top of the line electronics in my boat. Don't have the best shotguns or bazillion duck and goose decoys or Custom painted warts of all colors. Live in the country and not on a lake lot. Life is choices made by us or someone else at times. I think Wrench said it best get one if you want to as they are nice. Like Ham said in the right conditions they can and I have had ice form in the drinks I have had in there. Here is a place you can save some bucks on your cooler or anything else you might want and not necessary need. Sign up for Austin canoe and kayak newsletter. http://www.austinkayak.com/ Just by signing up you can get a 15% discount on an item and I got my coolers shipped for free. It pays to shop around. Are the coolers high priced? Yes Are they more than we need? Yes but so are much more things in life. We all have stuff we don't need. Stop and take inventory sometime. This reminds me I still need to get some Ozarkanglers stickers to put on my coolers Just saying, BilletHead
