  1. I think those are butt ugly 🤣 but fun hearing your drag sing is beautiful.
  2. Crazy but it happens more than we really know. I wonder for all that get caught just how many people no matter what ethnicity get away with things like this? Thanks for posting @fishinwrench. For all the fines paid combined they would have had quite the feast under that shelter if they had bought groceries instead of being clueless of the laws.
  3. Listen to what Mrs. One shot says.
  4. What a wonderful day. This pond still had some ice a couple days ago. Caught using either a purple or natural Grinch bug fly/streamer on a slow strip. Started pretty slow with calm wind. When the easterly wind started to pick up so did the crappie bite. Lots of nice bluegill and smaller bass. One big bass. Kept 26 crappie. Lost even more crappie before boating them. There is no cover in this pond. Took some looking at scattered casting to find fish but when we did it was on. VID_20260213_135820164.mp4 VID_20260213_142056384.mp4 VID_20260213_142127322.mp4
  5. Temperate bass have a special witching hour in the first couple hours of daylight also. You just have to be a morning person.
  6. Males playing hockey and woman skating around. Stockton lake fishing report shows that.
  7. I know that the Mennonite have been ice skating on the lake. If you are a watcher of Stockton lake fishing report on Facebook there is a bunch of information on their including the ice skating deal. Good luck.
  8. Good job Seth!
  9. A synopsis from myself, Fun times, we missed the ones that normally make it because of other commitments, we missed the ones that have not yet made this type of trip. You should and you know who you are. This is a gathering of like minded people. You don't have to fish. You don't have to think you have to bring food if you don't want to. There are some great conversations and laughs. Normally @gotmuddy Cody starts getting us laughing then another tells a story and then another. We laugh until our sides hurt. Plenty to do. Town is close and even being the off season still lots of shops open to check out. Lilly's rooms looking out the window are great. When generation started this morning Pat and I could see trout midging the surface eating out our window. Good times.
  10. In between all this eating was some fishing. With all the threadfin shad going through the turbines running on peak electric demand the bite on white was off the charts catching rainbow and browns that when being unhooked and released were puking out shad. Some so packed you could see shad protruding out of their gullets into the mouth. Each morning trip and evening trips the brave Anglers came back with wind burned faces and cold fingers but great stories. Pat and I did not fish this trip giving it up to the younger ones. There was a 20 buck each pool for the biggest fish. I'm not sure of the winner but someone came up with a three way tie.😐. This brought us to day three Saturday morning. More breakfast of sausage and package sausage gravy with more eggs and bacon. We missed that but got in on some crispy cold bacon. More fishing and then the afternoon big meal where Michael's wife, mother ,daughter and her fiance were to eat with all. Seth got his cooker fired up and into the hot oil crappie fillets we released for a quick swim. Then thin cut potatoes and onions that Grizwilson had prepared. It was a rotation of crappie, potatoes, hush puppies and wild turkey. Over and over until all had a swim in the hot oil. Coleslaw too. Everyone got full and then desserts were put out. There wasn't much leftovers. After this there was the tribute to Michael one of our OAF comrades. We all miss you friend. Just about all of the jigfest and taneyfest tribe have spent time with Michael fishing here or there. He was the first person I had in my boat at my first jigfest. I also got to spend even more time with him fishing the spring River in Oklahoma for the white bass run. Lots of conversations and fish catching.
  11. Like in all OAF official and unofficial fests getting all that you want to eat is not a problem. Thursday evening for the ones there we had Milo chili, big hands Rob and little Hands Rob's wife Kathy or was it Kelly? šŸ˜† Ask Milo about that deal. They brought lasagna. Pat and I contributed braised venison in red wine with buns and BBQ sauce. Desserts also were brought! That same evening there was some jousting on the next mornings breakfast. A choice between package biscuits and gravy or Real homemade biscuits and gravy. That's when Pat made a call. You see we are not late night which means some of these people all nighters. Biscuits and gravy will be served at 7am. Pat got with The program and left our room at 6:45 with me shortly after to start cooking the sausage. I'm not sure if it was the noise or the smell but soon almost all we working into the unit 15 kitchen to fill plates as Rob scrambled some eggs. So we seemed to be one person short that morning and that was Milo. He claimed later he was working remote. I have another theroy but draw your own conclusions people. From then on its a blur for meals on Friday. Kinda a free for all of things brought and shared for that day. Soup, leftover lasagna etc, etc. Duane gave us one of his charcuterie boards and with his input Pat assembled it. Note he told Pat as she cut the giant grapes in half to carve them like swans. Well that didn't happen and I called them turtles.
  12. I hope this worked.

  15. A bit more if it will attach. Cheesey as some of you will think there was much love in this room of good people. I think Pat took three videos. VID_20260131_152029385.mp4
  16. Just to let you two good gentlemen know I would like to pick your brains sometime before August about Dolly varden in Washington State šŸ¤”. Might be a target.
  17. Well I can now understand fully what happened to you yesterday. Missed you maybe making it. Gave away what we brought for you. Maybe next time. Those look nice.
  18. I will look in my box but number one is pink over white.
  19. At the breakfast table. Biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. "NOTE" not package gravy šŸ˜†. Pat gave all an early breakfast time and everyone got up but one person. We will see if he comes clean.
  20. You do know we have food for all too.
  21. We will be there Thursday afternoon.

    What's Cooking?

Browned venison roast in red wine and spices and herbs ready for a long braise. This will be taneyfest food.
  23. This helps this deepfreeze boredom. Thanks Ham
  24. Deer roasts are being braised today in red wine. These will be chopped up and Billethead BBQ sauce will be brought with a bunch of buns and coleslaw. Coleslaw for topping sammich or for the side. Whatever day for that also it will be quick and easy.
