Oh I think we are way more civilized at least I am. Now would you unleash a killer virus on anyone?
-
Yep and like most viruses NO ONE produced it. Manifested on its own and for those of you that didn't read the link I posted some native Americans were infected with it on purpose. So sad and like I said I want to believe civilized nations do not think this way.

Your older ones yes they are mature enough to understand but scaring the heck out of younger ones? NOOOOOOOO. They don't understand or are able to comprehend what is going on. Children are given smart phones and computers at a very young age and can run upon all kinds of things they do not need to see. If I had young ones knowing what they can see out there. Darned right there will be some parental control. Looking back even when I grew up I thank my parents for some control and sheltering. Fought it then and thank them now. I even think BilletHeadJr realizes now that he is a parent why we did what we did as his parents.

Oh I know someday the human race will end but no man knows the time or place it will happen but you and I know we should be prepared! Sad but happy day right? As for the vaccines actually they don't come quickly enough and it is just a guessing game each year for the flu shot. It covers a few of the anticipated virus mutations but not all. Your kids may not read this but every time someone kids included they google something covered on this forum it picks it up. When I was making so many balsa poppers and researching others techniques I found some I had did. I was contacted by another builder who was making handouts for a program he was doing and wanted my permission to use what I had posted. I told him have at and thanked him. Be careful folks once we type on this world wide web its here forever. Think about it.

Shroom Patches still top secret. Way off the road and mostly on private ground. I have seen others looking in a couple places for years I have not investigated. May have to put on my ghillie suit and head out on a recon mission to investigate. Now it is really hard being stealthy looking in fencerows along the roads in Asparagus spots. Pat and I usually tag team those spots. One driving and the other jumps out to look while the driver watches the road for traffic. Its like hurry up and get back in someone's coming. .

Again I think some of you let this fly right over your head. Who created this superbug back then? I am in the @MOPanfisher camp on this. Viruses mutate and constantly change to adapt and grow. I Don't believe this was purposefully introduced into the human system. Its just like nukes. If a country turns loose of something like that there will be a crap storm started. I think the world powers know better. We in the world depend on each countries for trade for what they do the best. I think @Quillback touched on this some. Do I think the united states should be more self sufficient and not dependent? YES! This is a wake up call. I hope we don't forget. Biological warfare has been around for along time. I would think the human race should and would know better from the past. Just read some of this, actually read it all, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_biological_warfare I have hope for the human race. I hate to see this theory spread. Guess I need to get to Wal Mart quick and get my supply of tinfoil for hats before the run on that starts. One more parting thought. Remember we have children that read this stuff and more importantly those children watch us as parents and grandparents. We are the biggest influence on the future. They see us stressed and they become stressed. Believe what you want but shield them from all the BS please.

Oh there we doctors around, plenty of doctors. This was during WW1 . The fighting powers actually undercounted the dead to boost morale. This was H1N1 influenza virus. Poor hygiene, overcrowded medical camps and hospitals. To answer you question I bet there were far more many deaths than counted.

What country created the Spanish flu that infected 500 million people and killed 17 million to 50 million? Why did they do this and what was their gain?
-
Pretty much same here except with a sink tip just about 4 foot total. Those Mutts are not very smart .
-
Well then I need to hover and watch over my patches better. You have to beat others to some of them. The ones I checked had no broken off stubs that I could see.

I snack on it raw as I am picking. Pat will steam it in a double boiler then some sharp smoked cheddar on it. !

I had one of those too when I was very young and lived in California. Bought it at TG&Y. His name was Henry. Had him for many years. Very tame and good natured. One day My dad said take his tank outside and put him in the sun for awhile. Well I did and guess what he got baked. I cried and my dad felt real bad.

I did but I retain some weird stuff and forget what I need to remember. In the series seven worlds deal they were in Africa and had an excerpt on them.

About the most exotic pet I have had was a Savanna monitor. It was pretty small when I got it. Didn't know what sex it was but my young son named it Jim because it was fat like a friend I had named Jim. Well when Jim was little had to feed it mouse pinkies. They got hard to find. Then regular mice and when wal mart stopped selling those I had to start feeding Jim teddy bear hamsters. Have any of you ever heard a teddy bear hamster scream when a monitor lizard grabs it? Horrifying . Well Jim got so big he was lifting the top off of his tank with weights on it. I decided to get rid of it. Hard to get him from underneath the cook stove. A guy I worked with wanted it. So we did a deal. A week later he and his wife started freaking out. Jim was mean and they couldn't handle him. I took Jim back. He was strong with some pretty good claws and if he whipped his tail and got ya it hurt and left a whelp. I could handle him but finally Jim and I made a trip to a Springfield pet shop and they made a deal with me. He was cool and I missed him

Probably a few bats to undercook and a pangolin or two to use the scales for something medicinal.

Made my weekly trip to war at wally world too Jeff. Got everything on my list but bread flour. Didn't need and toilet paper and a good thing I didn't. Still wiped clean (pun intended) . Paper towels and Kleenex there though. I wore my PPE but only seen one employee wearing a mask. Shoppers maybe 20% with and the rest without. They did finally put up Plexiglas in the check out lanes for the cashiers. Did not check on hand sanitizer either. A little baking good but not much. Hit the only other place to by grocery items to find no flour there. As I turned around a stock boy asked me if I was looking for flour. I told him what I wanted and he said lookie here as he brought a pallet down the isle. He unwrapped the load and dug until he found what I wanted and handed me two packages of bread flour. He said you better take two. I thanked him and told him bless you and checked out.

It is kind of spooooooooooky. BUT I have found another good use for the light. I tied a string from post to post right under the light. I did a dozen Clousers. I use UV cure resin on my heads. I hit them with my little UV light just to do a quick set. Then I put them on my string and let them bake for awhile. Cured rock hard !

Yes crazy my friend! No frost but freeze. Wind stayed up to keep frost down. My lettuce bed had ice on it where the rain left water then froze. Some of the lettuce is pretty big now and the leaves had even froze to the Plexiglas. Not hurt as I know how hearty lettuce is.

Go big or go home I say . 1200 watts and in the words of the tool man Tim Taylor more power, more power ugh, ugh, ugh. I have noticed a difference in my plants from not using anything but plant grow light in the tube style light. Stems are getting thicker and not growing up so fast. It also has a stetting switch for a bloom mode. Came with tinted glasses for messing with your plants while it is on. I just turn it off.

Don't have a domestic patch. The wild patches I tend to check nothing up yet.
