The easiest but most ugly way is silicone. Clean the area with some alcohol let dry and smear the stuff on. Flexible and stays stuck but ugly. I use it to make things last longer. Ugly matches me so it kind of blends in.

Nevada is also has the biggest amount of BLM ground. You could literally disappear out there on public land. Granted it isn't the prettiest to see or be lost in.

For any of you interested here is a link to what we used. No frills, bells or whistles to this one. Pretty simple. I told Ness in a text this was the best loaf of bread we have ever done. Bar none. If we or I can repeat it then we will be happy, more than we are now. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/256158/better-than-bakery-no-knead-sourdough/ I tried your link @rps, looks like they want some money to see. Is it about the same?

We just finished Grilled mallard breast, fried morels and green beans. Mrs. said what you said will be dessert soon!

Thanks Rick! I am excited for your results too!

We need more Johnny sourdough folks on this forum.

So you all know about Johnny Appleseed ? We have OAF member Johnny Sourdough! I received my start a week ago yesterday Friday. I fed it and back in the fridge for a week. Pulled it out yesterday and took out a batch and refeed it again. That went back into fridge and now it was time to reap my first reward! Oh baby I was excited. So last night the Mrs. and I made the dough and set it on the buffet right under the thermostat set at 70 degrees. One end of our house would be a couple degrees warmer and other end a couple degrees cooler. Overnight raise. This morning it looked nice and still growing. I think we did it 15 hours. This is first raise, Then the kitchen cabinet was floured. I dumped the bowl and Pat floured the dough and created the ball again as I washed then dried the bowl. A coating of canola oil sprayed in the bowl. The dough ball put back in for another three hours for second raise. When that was done the oven was preheated to 450 degrees with the vintage #8 Griswold dutch oven in it. (if you all get tired of hearing vintage I really don't care ). Oven hot the dutch oven out and some cornmeal was sprinkled in the bottom. The dough was carefully dumped in. It was kind of a controlled slide. Put lid on dutch oven then back into the oven. Set timer for 30 minutes. Off went the timer and I removed the lid OH MY it looked good. Set timer for another 15 minutes for the top to finish browning. When the timer went off it was like WHOO HOOO here we go. Wow I carefully turned to oven to remove the hot loaf onto a cooling rack, Then the wait for it to cool enough for slicing. Anticipation again set in. This was our first sourdough bread. Boys it really is the simple things in life that get me excited. Fault or not it is as I am and I love it. All I have to say about this is Dang ! Thank you Johnny Sourdough.

Cheap prices! That is the answer right there. Some quality too but we can do the same.

I am rooting for you!

I still can grow a field of grass but there is a lighter spot on the top back that struggles. Guess some fertilizer might help. If I let it go it would most likely look like a snow covered peak. One of the best things I ever did is start shaving the noggin. This reminds me I have to grab the razor and mow the lawn.

Again there is a difference between a tiny amount of meat between the bones of a crappie and a turkey thigh. If the fish is large enough I take the meat off the ribs too. It is worth it if you want it. It is good and useable I am going to use it.
-
Rick I am a little ashamed of that remark. Waste not want not. It all adds up. In Montana you are required to save and use duck and even pheasant legs or it is considered wanton waste. You like and fillet bluegill don't you? More meat on one turkey thigh and a set of bluegill fillets.

Man it was nice to wake up this morning with all this loving going on!

The secret is ? I am really wondering where he got the yeast to start the original batch? Dang This reminds me it is Friday and feeding day!
-
I do all my legs, thighs and wings this way Seth. I have saved up four birds worth and done them all at once. Pick all the meat and vac seal in meals. Turkeys are looking like slim pickings here this season. If we get one I will be happy. https://honest-food.net/turkey-carnitas/

I wondered if I got on a list for just ordering this item? Pretty funny each description picture there is nothing but the herb under it! This is for medicinal purposes. Healthy EATING of vegetables .
-
Ok let me rephrase that. Because you seem to give good information to all about these things. Same thing as before. Are you telling be you may be full of crap about this also? Since I don't know about such things I trust you about it. Maybe I do know a little about air rifles

Because this is one thing I really, really trust you on. Are you trying to tell me different?

Garden up and running in BilletHeadVille, Lettuce bed doing well. Potential freeze tonight and again Sunday night. Even though this stuff is pretty hardy glad to have the option to lower covers. Between the lettuce plants is some baby bok choy. Love bok choy. First time trying it. On the north end lost some plants. Not sure what happened. In this pic it all looks a bit sad. I had just watered it good. Kind of mashes it. Peppers under little grow light really happy, Then we have tomato starts in my grow room (spare bedroom) . I went a bit overboard. Started 48. 24 black Krim and 24 celebrity . I don't plant near this many but have friends who appreciate our extras. I went and planted all the seed I ordered and got 100 percent germination, New to me and my assembly of this contraption happened this morning. I bought an LED high powered grow light. It states to start 48 inches above plants at first. I could not get this height at first. Then lower after a few days. Hope it doesn't burn my plants. Its pretty cool.

Dr. Debora Brix for president. Her short running mate Dr. Anthony Fauci will be vice president. Pretty sharp people.

Yes I know about when to harvest poke. They are just starting up. Less than six inches tall. I may not like it but I may be surprised. My eyes have been opened to many things!
-
Another thing to try Ness, Dandelion blossoms. Batter them up and fry them. I call it poor mans morels. Tasty Got some poke coming up. Never tried it but think I will this season.
-
Again proves only thing you know anything about is OLD two stroke mosquito fogging gas guzzling outboard motors 🤣. Maybe air rifles ?
-
This and be sure and save legs and thighs. Cook it up and pick it off the bone and make carnitas!
