Hey quit picking on my trudes! Did more yesterday but with the right wing material. May post a photo later. Now can't you all go back to talking about Mary Ann and Ginger and which one would be packing? Which one would be the whining one about the ones that do? My bet is Midwest Mary Ann will be the packer and big change city Ginger is the only whiner BilletHead

Kinda nosy aren't you JD ? Lets say I have what I need when I need it. Except for the tails yesterday which by the way were found by the wife this morning! Ask and you shall receive. She says this morning what are you looking for? I explained what I wanted. She bends over and moves some stuff. Is this what you need? Yep what woman! BilletHead

Only thing off is the calf tail on the lime trude. Yes to both of you need less tubs and some peg boards. Every once and awhile I do a cleanup of this room. Right now Mrs. BilletHead runs the vacuum to the door, takes a look in makes a grumbling noise and turns around and gives up. Yes Gavin getting ready for our trip West. Got a new plan this time. There will be a report when we get back. Getting pretty excited for this one! BilletHead

Compilation from last night's trip
BilletHead replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Excellent! You know Phil when Pat and I met you for the first time I thought does this guy even smile? I even asked Duane is he that serious all the time? Well now it is good to know you are human just like the rest of us Mr. and Ms. BilletHead -
HA Chief! I have been known to gift Goose so if you or anyone else wants to try this please let me know On another note I had a BLT for lunch. Juicy tomato and bread slathered with miracle whip made a very , very soggy fall apart sandwich. Well this is what I wanted again for tonight so when I talked to the Mrs. before she came home from work to get some kind of bread this would not happen to. She replied hey we have flour tortillas wanna try them? Sure, well a great substitute it was. Tuck the ends and no spill. Yes I know a roll up but this was the first time we have done a BLT. Got to use these tomato's up. Peppers too so I will be doing again stuffed cubanells tomorrow in the smoker for when the Mrs. gets home. Here we go as mentioned in another post. Things will be going well in the house tomorrow night Billethead

Or in my case where in the heck is my white calf tail? I was wanting to tie some trudes today, I know it is in there somewhere? Did some anyway and subbed various things for the wings. Gray squirrel tail, bucktail, fox tail, bleached coastal deer hair and even deer belly hair. All seemed to work fine and treated with a float coat I am sure they will bob in white water Did you find my tail? I did not and I know there are two in this mess somewhere. BilletHead

Jagerschnitzel , Man food! The Sunday feast. Made with Canada goose cutlets. Chanterelles in the gravy. The cooking, The finished plate and no I did not finish all that main course. Never let your wife fill your plate. As you fill up she will look over and ask what's wrong with your meal? Too much, BilletHead

Stinking japanese beetles and I mean stink. While it was rainy here this morning the beetles were real timid and you could just pluck them from the wisteria and put them in a jar. Soon I had a jar full to pitch in the koi pond for the fish to eat. I kept smelling something until I determined how they find each other. By smell! It was then I threw them into the pond and the surface boiling started until they were gone, BilletHead

Will see what I can find!

Been seeing bunches of dove. There is a lot of wheat stubble too wet to drill beans in that are holding the feathered rockets. Do you realize we will be hunting teal in two months? BilletHead

Mopanfisher, I could drink balsamic.

How can I follow up with the great kraut man Ness and chef RPS ? Will try. Caprese salad with a balsamic reduction. Pretty and yummy to boot. A nice healthy light meal. Well kind of because we did some fresh picked sweet corn on the cob from our farmer friends field. Slathered with butter and salt and pepper too. BilletHead

It sure can get under your skin trythisonemv . Yes I think at times the Mrs. and I are a bit touched to head in the woods and sweat for finding fungus. We picked another five pounds early this morning. Bonus finds more milkys. Made another batch of potato chant soup. That stuff is great! while it was cooking I just quickly cooked the milkys in butter then a dash of salt and pepper and we ate them on crackers. Need to decide what to do with the rest of the chants. I know tomorrow will be doing jagerschnitzel with goose and some will top that. This has been the most bountiful year that we have ever had. It is amazing how the mushroom network can survive in the ground to appear in places that have not been wet like this for years. BilletHead

Bummer JD, Take care of the geese early goose season I feel for all of you guys. All that work and not much to reap. I guess I got pretty lucky this season. In early and producing. Suppose raised beds is helping too keeping most everything a bit less wet. Only had to water twice. Did suffer from the fungus on a few tomato plants. Celebrity mostly. Did not seem to hinder the Black Krim's. I actually have one of each in the same tub and the krim is doing great and the celebrity has withered to about nothing. One think about the krims though is cracking and splitting. Some of the tomatoes in the big bed are over five foot high. Generally when they have tops like this there is not much on the bottom but these are loaded all the way. Then there is the squash, no problem with the bugs yet but they look good but have had very few squash. Some of them grow real well and rot on the end of grow well and then swell as they grow out looking like an elongated pear type shape. The bed they are in has the least dirt depth so maybe they are staying too wet? Peppers are still going bonkers. I picked one today that is a long sweet pepper. It had to be a foot or longer. I ate the whole thing right there next to the plant. Sweet like the little ones you buy in the bag at the store. I swear I could hear the other ones on the plant screaming at what they had just witnessed Bought more sausage to stuff more cubanells to be covered with cheese and cooked in the smoker. Cannot get enough of those things. It is one of the tastiest dishes I have ever tasted. I almost feel bad about posting pictures but will anyway. Kind of like big fish photos. " Pictures or it didn't happen ! " BilletHead
