  1. That one was half way back in Linn creek on 45 degree chunk rock bank, plenty of them in Linn creek, 45 degree banks that is
  2. They are scheduled to start drawing water down now is what I had heard, it was a half foot high for a while 659.5 + or - and now is 658.7 but they stopped drawing heavy and are pulling around 1300 cfs. Haven't been out since before Christmas, to darn cold for me right now. Need for it to be a high in 40s for me at least. Had a nice 6+ on jig on 23rd of Dec I believe it was
  3. Thanks for your feedback, I know there are other great rods and by other manufacturers as well, but I have had good service with loomis and returning rods which is important to me when you are spending so much on a rod. I will mostly be using rod fishing 3/4 oz jigs around brush in 10 to 20 foot range which I think this rod would be great for.
  4. Looking for feedback of users of this rod in either IMX or GLX version for use with heavier jigs. Thanks
  5. See link below http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/Locations/DistrictLakes/PommedeTerreLake/DailyLakeInformation.aspx
  6. There were 2611 total participants in the BBB per Charlie Terrell at midwestfishing tournaments.
  7. 6.11 was caught on brush hog type bait and 4.99 caught on jig, both fish in brush around 10 foot deep, fished toll bridge to 4 mm
  8. Well the lake was brutal Saturday with high winds, fishing was tough for our group of 4 guys but we managed to cash a couple checks, buddy had a 6.11 lb fish Saturday for $900 which I thought could contend for one of the first four money prizes with the tough fishing last few weeks, boy was I wrong. Believe there were 12 fish over the 6 lb mark with the winner being almost 8 lb. I had a 4.99 Sunday for $325 so we considered it a good showing for us fishing our first BBB. Great time with good friends.
  9. There are four of us fishing this weekend (2 boats). Pretty tough earlier this week for me. Today is overcast and windy, opening morning calling for sun and wind. Hopefully it stirs the fish into biting good for everyone. Good luck to everyone!
  10. You could do that but your chances of getting a keeper fish out of those places are slim
  11. I have a black lab and another black dog. I will give someone a great deal on some black dog hair.
  12. It's called an adrenaline rush and ditto to rather go that way then...
  13. Thinking same thing, must be point 9
  14. We had a 7 boat his/hers derby this past weekend out of Nemo bridge resort, fished 5:30 till 1:30. We ended up with 11.58 lbs anchored by 4.87 lb fish. All our fish caught 15 to 25 foot deep flats near channel breaks. Fished Sunday 5:30 till 10:00 and wife had a 3.87 and only fished we boated, had 4 other bites, lost 3 of the fish and played tug a war with another. Saw lots of boats fishing way offshore as we were amongst skiers and tubers. There was also a Joe a Bass Saturday, not sure how they did. Was not looking forward to fishing with heat but turned out relatively nice with strong breeze Saturday. All fish caught on shaky heads.
  15. Nice
  16. Anyone know the result of the Saturday night 7 to 7 tourney, not sure who was hosting tourney, just ran into a few fishing it and wondering results.thanks
  17. Is that the blue/white seaplane? He was at Capt. Ron's yesterday asking if anyone wanted a ride for $40
  18. Those carp are definitely a thrill to fight, you are right that most in pocket are buffalo but there are a few carp as well. We use to go to Clearwater when I was a kid, grandma had a house up the hill from Webb creek boat dock and we would catch quite a few their as well, that is how I got into fishing which just tranferred to bass fishing today
  19. Back in my younger years I fished for carp exclusively at Susan Park when it was a pay lake and some city parks. Used strawberry banana jello boiled in water, added vanilla extract and wheaties and firmed it up with wheat germ. Would have our limit at Susan park in no time and was asked several times if I could buy some of your bait. Just purchased a house at the lake at 28 mm cross cove from millers landing in pocket and the carp and buffaloes are thick, probably have at least 20 sunning in pocket right now
  20. Used to buy Yamamoto senkos but have converted to BPS senkos as well as other brands for a heck of a lot cheaper and have done just as well with them but that is about it from BPS
  21. Give Rob a call at Dupo Marine, he has treated me right
  22. Old hwy 14 bridge crosses back of east sugarloaf, it has been there
  23. I do just as well on the spook jr. In bone color vs. sammy
