  1. When you "nice-sized stripper", do you mean how tall she is, or what? And, I also want to know what type of fish attractor your neighbor is using under his dock!
  2. Thanks to all that responded. Didn't know that my Brother-in-Law had a flatbed trailer that he uses for his tractor? I'm just going to put the car on it, and bring the trailer back. Thanks again!
  3. Thanks, Mike! I hope to take the car down before then. If I can't, I may reach out to you? Thanks!
  4. just bought a car in STL for my Mom, and need to deliver it to her at the Lake sometime in the next week or so. I am very flexible on days, but could use a ride back to STL area from TRL. Our other house is in Chesterfield, but you could drop me somewhere along your route and I'll get someone to pick me up. I'll pay for the gas! (and I'll even listen to your fish stories) Our house is in Kimberling City area, but could meet anywhere near. Bit of a long shot, but I thought I would try. PM me if you can accomodate! Thanks!
  5. That certainly sounds like it could be the answer?
  6. They are not coming from our dock! And, there is not another dock within a quarter mile to the North and maybe 200 yards to the South, which is around the point from us. We don't even have a fish cleaning station on the dock, and there's maybe 2 other guys that even own a rod & reel and I know these guys don't even like to eat fish. I've seen them throw back nice flatheads and even keeper crappie. Could be tourney released fish, but not many weigh-ins out of Ahoy's lately, and hard to believe they floated all the way from Mill Creek or Port of Kimberling and just happened to end up on my lake frontage? Hoping it's not some early signs of a fish kill?
  7. Okay, my Australian Sheperd has been bringing me several fish heads from the shore for the past few weeks? These have all been LM or K's, and appear to be just under, right at, or a bit over keeper size? No one on my dock keeps bass and cleans them. No one else but me really even fishes that much. We are right at the mouth of Fisher Creek, across from Ahoy's. I know the lake is down and all that, but should there be that many dead bass washed up in a 75 yard stretch of shoreline?
  8. As the ad says, "Stop scrubbing your bottom"! Although your name is 'bottomdweller'.
  9. Also, you should be able to get a 10 X 24, maybe even with a lift for around or even under $25k depending on what part of the lake you want to be on. There will probably be some annual dock association fees for electric, insurance, etc. There's a 55' slip on our dock for $55,000 and it even includes an old houseboat, which actually is pretty nice inside.
  10. I would not recommend leaving a pontoon in the water year round. A guy on our dock does, and you wouldn't believe how scummy the toons get, not to mention the lower unit and prop. If you're looking for a used lift, try Tom Blake at Blake's econolift. Great guy, very trustworthy and fair. 417-464-2111 or econoblake@yahoo.com
  11. So, if you pull the tree down, then obviously the knot held?
  12. Try peeing on your hands like the baseball players do! (link)
  13. http://elitelaugh.com/video/heres-a-video-showing-how-to-dock-like-a-boss/
  14. I agree! But someone will go out this weekend and prove us wrong! (and it might even be me?) Between throwin the WP and the A-Rig, I can get my cardio work in on the boat!
  15. Rick is a very unique guy! Seemed like he went through a "hippie" phase there for a while. Started wearing sandals and used words like 'ethereal', etc? Not sure what was going on in his life at the time, but he definitely was not the stereotype of the Professional Bass Fisherman. Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin, et al. In today's circuit, he would just blend right in! Still one of my favorites, though, as I think he defined the dedication and focus it takes to win.
  16. I remember many years ago there was a guy who used to stay at Schooner Creek Resort who would kill em on a black SB at night in the Spring. He had an old, original Ozark bass boat that was beat to heck, but that old boy could catch some fish!
  17. She could be wrong about the weather 100% of the time and it wouldn't bother me! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MSSbyCIVlI
  18. Maybe I should put a GPS tracker on our buoys?
  19. One of our NO WAKE Buoys broke loose, and we can't seem to find it? Our dock is Arrowhead Dock right across from Ahoy's/Kimberling Inn Looked around today, but no luck. Usually when we lose one, we find it back in Fisher Creek, but not to be found there?
  20. Call Tom Blake at Blake's Econolift. He sometimes has used ones, and he does good work at a fair price! Tom is as honest and trustworthy as they come! 888-779-5721 office 417-464-2111 cell Tell him Don Borgschulte referred you.
  21. I think you need a longer measuring stick! "you get what you expect"
  22. Not Fair! Champ's like the guy who goes to the garage sale the night before and buys all of the good stuff!
