I've fished it for years and I've seen guys run it flat out but I've also seen it low and know where a lot of hazards are. I only run it part way back left of center then pull up and idle on back. I am not mad at my lower unit nor do I have the cojones for that ride.
I am not familiar with that particular model, but I have run Lowrances for many years. Do you have the latest software version? If not then down load it. It may fix your problem. If that doesn't work you can do a soft reset. If a soft reset doesn't work you can back up your data and do a hard reset. Another option is to try a different transducer.
Have you checked the warranty on your keel protector? Mine came loose on my old Champion 206. When I called about it they said it was still under 50% so I got a good break on the price of a new one so I ripped the old one off and put a new one on.
So if that is the best they can do for a pic it is no wonder that their reasoning for keeping it 15" for so long was that they did not think that the general public would know the difference in a spot and a lmb. Same reasoning for the white, hybrid, and striper 20" deal.
So are you guys going to keep KYs now? I haven't eaten one in at least 20 years. I don't remember what they taste like. At least they don't smell like bull frogs as do the green fish.
I will have to remember that some windy day this coming fall. I have never seen the numbers anywhere else like your little pond had a few years ago. Big T and I broke our personal best record up in the Lindley one day. Back then if we only had 100 in a day we felt like we had wasted the gasoline to drive down there. We used to tie jigs with strange colors to see if we could find something that they would not bite.
Same place for us both. My reference is I was heading up stream in my boat seeing how far above the bridge I could go in my old Champion and it was on my left but that has been a lot of years as I quit chasing them when you had the die off.
You don't need a depth finder to find the cave hole. The cave is up on a small bluff above the bridge. As I remember it, you will find it on the left side of the river not far above the bridge.
Lowrance HDS Gen 3 9 touch. Power cord, ethernet cable, and LSS 2 transducer. It being flush mounted I don't have gimbal bracket or knobs. Scott at Marine Repair says he can get them.
$900 TYD.
And maybe shingles. I was going fishing on the nice (Monday) forecast until the 60+ mph gusts took shingles off the roof of my house. I was able to line up a crew to fix it but the job couldn't be done until mid afternoon Monday which shot my plans.
It is 9 am and rocking here. They say tomorrow is going to be worse.
I heard some loud banging and went outside to look at shingles on my roof flapping up and down. Some of them are in the back yard. I hope I can get it fixed before the next rain.
I heard that a guy backed a trailer into the water and was ticketed. I don't know if it is a fact, just what I heard. I remember when you could launch and load a bass boat if you only used your trolling motor while on the water, but sadly those days are long gone.
