  1. I'm not seeing much in SWMO so I decided to go to the Smokies. It is way better than I thought it would be. I 24 outside Nashville.
  2. Don’t they give you step by step directions on how it is done? You probably can find a You Tube video of a how to.
  3. I bought the St Croix LF 6’6”. I’ll try it next time out. May be a while as the boat is in for some warranty items and I am in KY. The lady in customer service said I could bring it back within 60 days if it didn’t work out.
  4. BPS has the LF St Croix in the 6’6” length. I’m going to have a look at it later today.
  5. Would this one give good distance in 7’ ultralite? https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/st-croix-premier-series-spinning-rod?irclickid=VyoXTBwvdxyNWphT6cSYjSgGUkDQK-0YEUvUyg0&irpid=1460855&irmpname=USAngler&irsharedid=&cm_soc=AFF&irgwc=1&hvarAID=impact
  6. I need a rod which will do a good job casting 1/16 oz jigs and maybe 1/32 oz. I have heavier covered. Any recommendations?
  7. I used to use BBS but like Bow to Stern better. I’m just ranting about the lack of fresh water in the lakes.
  8. I went Friday and caught 22 with 15 nice keepers. I took my neighbor today and we caught 50. We kept 30. All were associated with wood from 6 to 25’ deep. We used my homemade stingers. Every color that we used caught fish. Spring cricket was the best with monkey milk being the worst. The water temp was 70°.
  9. What kind of lead? What kind of weights?
  10. The last time I fished Cape Fair I got a scummy ring all around the boat. I got the same thing at Cedar Ridge. Yesterday it happened again above Nemo on Pom. I sure hope we get some rain so maybe it will help clear the water some.
  11. Nemo is 6 miles from the dam. Martin’s flat another mile or so. Are you going to be Boondocking? The campground facilities are closed. The pit toilet at the ramp seems to be all that isn’t locked. I did manage a limit of black crappie on my homemade stingers using a 1/16 oz head. I fished in the Lindley and Pomme. All were associated with wood. Some were as shallow as 10 feet while others were right by the boat in close to 30’. I found the surface temp to be 72°. I caught fish on every color that I threw.
  12. I don’t see how it could be with water in the 70s and lots of places with a 30’ thermocline. The water in the Little Sac is nasty. It turned my white braid brown.
  13. No wrap. I had 4 windows in that garage.
  14. You might call Marine Repair Center (417-833-9191) in Springfield and tell those guys (Scott or Brad) what you want to do and see what they recommend. They might even have a good used unit.
  15. I’ve put them on a shelf in the garage and had tomatoes until Thanksgiving.
  16. Does this mean that Table Rock lake will be coming back up?

    Drought?

I have never seen vermin in any compost. I don’t use any other kind.

    Drought?

Lebanon probably has a yard waste recycling center. You might be able to get it there. It might even be free. If it is you might even be able to get it in 5 gallon buckets and haul them in your car.
  19. It’s a big lake. What part are heading to?

    Drought?

No it isn’t bagged. It is just dumped into my farm truck bed. I pay $20/cu yd.

    Drought?

What are you mulching? I quit using straw because of all of the seed germination that I had to deal with. I switched to grass and leaf compost. It covers well, absorbs moisture and puts a slow release nitrogen in the soil. I buy it 2 yards at a time and store it in a bin that holds 5 yards.
  22. If you watch for the wad, you can see exactly where you are shooting.
  23. My mom wouldn’t allow us to shoot them.
  24. I like you make my own heads. I use several configurations and weights. I go with the lightest weight that I can (1/16 to 3/8) depending on the depth. Most of the time it is 1/8 or 3/32. I only use Elaztech worms, Zeros and ZinkerZs.

    Fish roe

They are pretty good but I would rather have steak fries from 500 to 600 pounders.
