Yep. I'm buying for Bear and I. I'll also buy for you and Ralph if you want to join us. It'll be Sun. am but I don't do well on the golden arches stuff. We may have to stop in Ozark at something like Waffle House. That place just before Kissee Mills Jct scares me for breakfast. Big Y and Chuck used to eat there and I could smell them from a long ways when they got to the dock.

Is there a place in town that opens early so one could get breakfast on the way to do some fishing? I know there used to be a Fox Café but don't know if it is still there or not. Any help appreciated.

I went a head and bit the bullet. I ordered the 760 cz from BPS. As it turns out, they don't even stock them. You make your purchase, they buy it from Accu Vu and have it shipped to your house. If it hadn't been for the gift card money, I could have eliminated the middle man and bought direct. I is supposed to be here mid to late next week. Here's hopin' for some decent weather so I can go back and look for that big ole eye.

The one that interests me most is the 760 cz because of the 7" screen with shade, the 100' cable, camera direction, depth measurement, and water temp. But like stated I know nothing about them. I just have some BPS gift card money to spend and this one sounds like it has bells and whistles and I'm pretty much a bells and whistles guy.

It turns out that BPS doesn't have them in the store. They only have one with a bitty lens that I could only use under a magnifying glass. I hate to buy a pig in a poke.

I figure on doing a lot of looking. After I bought my structure scan units, I spent a week just driving around looking and recording. I didn't even mark wpts but did go look as some of mine to see what the actually were. I'm hoping this will open up a new world like the ss did. If I buy one, I'll have to get more explicit info from you about the 2 items you listed. I'm heading out to BPS to have a hands on look/see this evening.

I know nothing about them but am thinking of buying one. I have been reading about the aqua vu 760 cz. That is about my price range limit. I'd appreciate any feedback that any of you can give me about their use and or quality of any brand and model. Thanks in advance. Dutch

One thing to remember YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE AN IQ TEST TO BUY A BOAT AND GO FISHING. Just look at the ramps and parking lots when there are lots of people around. You will see stupid and his brother all over the place. So expect them to also be where you fish.

I have found over the years that you normally can't catch the other guy's fish. Just because he tells you the spot doesn't mean you can catch them unless he also gives you more info. Personally, spots don't really interest me. However, patterns do. I can find my own spots but sometimes a hint on a pattern makes the difference between a good outing and a water haul.

I wouldn't even want to fathom a guess. I have caught them to 8# and this would beat that. It looked like a gator when it came to the surface. If I could catch it again and get it in the boat, I'd measure length and girth, weigh on my Bogas, release then have a replica built.

The reason I'm asking is I had the largest walleye that I have ever seen on and to the top just before the last snow storm. It came unbuttoned right at the boat. I said a few choice words and marked a wpt. 3 or so weeks later, is it likely to be close to the same spot or will I be wasting my time going back there?

I've used both and never lost any on either. However, when I am fishing It on the bottom or around cedar trees I use the braid so I can wrap the line around a boat cleat and pull it out if necessary.

I'm not surprised since it is a facility that is basically boondocking. It probably costs more to keep up than it brings in.

I believe you can catch crappie in or around brush piles all year long. However, I haven't done well around the brush lately. That shad school thing is a mystery to me too and I have pretty good electronics.

I hate it. If I could get the boat out of the garage, I think I'd head south till it warms up. But that is a pipe dream and I don't even have the pipe.

It really looks good for the Chief's at half time. I sure do hope that they can keep it up.

Not just that pard, with the snow we may have lots of side roads leading to the lake that don't get plowed off. Keep checking the Stockton forum because someone who gets out or lives close will let the rest of us know what is going on. Personally, I'm bustin' a gut to get back on the Walleye.

Yes it will but if you don't keep a bunch of lead in the pot it will severely rust when not in use.
