Looks like it won’t work. That program calls for 40 acres. This is 3-5 acres and not contiguous to the rest of the farm which is off limits. We can’t have people roaming around there because of on going sniper training and long range shooting. Thanks for the input.

I want to be absolved of any and all liability. I am thinking of donating it to a local community as a public recreation area or giving it to MDC for public access to the creek, but not sure if that is the way to go.

We have a piece of non contiguous land which is across a creek from the rest of this farm. We would only have access to it by boat without going through someone else’s property. Recently we were approached to sell it. The buyer wants to fence it off and have it for his personal use. We haven’t been on it in years so we looked it over today. It is obvious that locals are using it a lot. There are hiking and 4 wheeler trails all over it. We don’t mind those who are using it as they can’t hurt anything and haven’t trashed it. We have decided to not sell it and have it closed off to the public. My concern is my personal liability if someone gets hurt riding, camping or swimming down there. We are not sure how to handle this. Ideas?

They are in the old restaurant building at the corner of Hwys 123 and 160 west of Willard. I stopped by to have a look see. I was impressed with the amount and variety of stock for bass and crappie anglers. The guy working there said they were at Ash Grove but moved hoping for better exposure. They carry several things that I use. Now I can just stop by instead of driving to Springfield.

I looked at a $79,000 and an $85,000 Ranger today in Springfield at BPS. The $85 looked close to what I would want but it had an Ultrex instead of an Ulterra on it.

I was in the campground at Crabtree Cove when the one hit Stockton. My house in Republic got hit the same day. We weren’t destroyed but sustained over $40,000 in damages.

My grandson went to college there. His squad was sent there to assist with security. He said that he couldn’t find the house where he had lived because he couldn’t even find the street in all of the rubble.

Do a lot of kayakers have one. I have seen a lot of them in yaks that are not very visible in some very sketchy spots, like away from the bank on blind corners or paddling down the middle of the lake. I have nearly run over one guy at Stockton who has a custom, beautiful, wood yak that is nearly perfectly camouflaged with the background of wood and rocks that is prevalent down there. Once in a while I see someone in a brightly colored one or wearing bright clothing. Even a few of them have flags that are highly visible. I’m really surprised that we don’t have more boat/yak collisions on our lakes.

Have you considered aluminum covered with sea deck? I built an aluminum deck extension for a Lowe. It worked great.
