I would not fish there if I were you. This is my fishing partners fish catches not mine, he is way better than I am.

I was in the same situation with State Farm. Had a boat stolen in 2007 and filed claim on bent prop shaft in 2010 and they dropped me not notice either, bad business if you ask me. but what can you do you have to have them.

Day of the tournament, put your boat in at any location you like and go to where you want to fish. At a specified time you will get a text that it is ok to fish and you fish, if you catch a fish you think is one of the biggest of the hour, and you will get updates as the day goes on, you take it to Long Creek marina and weight it in. Go back out fishing and repeat till the end of the day. Repeat on Sunday and at the end of the day Sunday you either have the biggest fish of the weekend and a new boat, or a paycheck, or just had a really nice time fishing. They have in the past had a really nice BBQ to feed you after fishing. Worst case you have a good time fishing and get fed well for trying.

Then I have to agree, these are great people and run a great tournament. Have not fished it in a few years but am really looking forward to fishing it again. Thanks for doing a great job, see you in March.

Started my registration there was 199 rods left, by the time I finished my registration there was only 115 left. With only 2 hours of registration open there was only 92 left. the other lakes are not moving as fast as Table Rock. See yall in March, fun times cant wait.

I recently had a lower unit failure, Mercury 175hp. I found a brand new complete lower unit as cheap as I could buy parts. It came with a 3 year warranty. They sell parts also might try them. I would be willing to bet if you threw it, you would catch something. As a matter of fact if you do throw it and catch a fish on it I will buy you a package of the spoons you like. Post a picture of the fish on it and I will send you the spoons.

Ok, the second video the officer said the guys were wasting the resource cause the fishing was good. Does anyone think that those fish he tossed in the bed of his truck on a nice sunny day are going to be eaten??? At least the guys that caught them were going to eat them. I am ok if you ticket them, take pictures of the multiple fish for evidence and then leave the guys with the fish so they don't waste the fish. That office should be charged with wanton waste of a game fish. Is he going to keep them and haul them into court to show the judge, At that point he has just 2 fish, the other fish, what other fish, I was well within my limit, that office took my only 2 fish, no pictures no proof. I think a good lawyer could argue and win.

I understand your point, but as many have said context is important. The picture of the deer, 3 years ago I very easily and legally could have killed that many deer. I did not for 2 reasons, 1 lazy I hunt more to relax and enjoy the outdoors and dressing that many deer is a lot of work. 2 I don't need that much deer meat. I also now many people who have several kids that can and do use that many deer, as that is there primary source of meat for the year. I cannot tell them they cant kill them if legally they are allowed by the state and they buy the proper tags.

Ok, here is my question? Yall have talked about the save Table Rock website, but no body has really said yes or no to whether they are trying to hurt or help. I value the opinions of those of you around the lake and will do what I can to support the worthy causes. I will write to our senators and congress people to tell them my thoughts, but should this petition they are sending be trusted to uphold what we as fisherman and conservation minded individuals be supported. Phil has told all of us in the past even when his place was flooded, the Corp can only deal with actual water on ground, I promise you that if the Corp drew the lakes down to say 900 then we did not get the rain and power had to still be generated the lake would drop more. Then what kinda hurt could we be in. millons of dollars of boats sitting on dry ground no access period, peoples power being shut down due to no generation. it is all a cycle.

I had some similar hook up issues with the dawg, found that tying a Duncan loop knot and a painful long wait on hook set. it seems to me to that the wait time is longer on a dog than a spook and think it might be that the tail is down more on the dawg. I am no expert just really like the dawg and have confidence in fishing It for most of my topwater action.

I should have put this in the initial description, the power leads will be run down the starboard of the boat and trolling wires are all on port side. Is the 10 gauge overkill and will putting the wires in plastic loom be problematic. I usually run my transducer cables in a piece of vacuum tube I split and run the wire through the rubber as an extra bit of safety.

I am preparing to install a new set of depth finders on my 87 Ranger 360V. I am currently running on the bow a 799ci si Humminbird, and am installing an 1198ci si Humminbird with large ram mount. At the console I currently have a 788C Humminbird and installing a 999ci Si Humminbird. I am going to run all new wiring for the depth finders, 10 gauge wire with heat shrink spices and connectors. With this set up I have 2 questions should I isolate my positive and my negative wires from each other to eliminate noise interference, and should they be run off the cranking battery or the trolling battery. Currently all my accessories, bilge, aerator and depth finders are hooked to cranking battery and trolling motor only on trolling batteries. What is the most correct or least problematic way to install.

I have a couple of the Pfleuger Presidents and think you will like them, they are smooth and function flawlessly. I am totally in agreement with you on the Long Creek deal, we paid for that ramp, I have no problem with him getting day use fees if you come into the park to picnic or swim and camping fees as they are doing upkeep on property. It just seems kind of a crap deal to be charging fees to launch on a corp built ramp. I know personally of 3 extended Mercury warranties that were paid for at the Nitro dealer that were never registered or filed with Mercury. Quick pocket line of salesman and dealership. I also dislike the tourist trap issues, I get that it is a neat sight and it is truly art, But I really dislike having to wade through dozens of people taking pictures to find dozens of substandard baits and none of the name brand quality that I truly am looking for sold by knowledgeable sales people. instead you find a guy who has seen a fish in the freezer section at walmart selling tackle. they should put dedicated help in those niche areas and dedicated check outs and entrance and exits for purchasers rather than shoppers.

After having spent the last 3 years mentoring and coaching a fairly successful team of high school anglers I can tell you this is a great outlet for the kids to do something other than play video games and twitter and stare at a computer on facebook. I had the pleasure of starting fishing with these 2 boys when they were 12, and for the last 6 years have spent countless hours teaching and learning from them, they helped me be distracted and kept me from doing some destructive things at a time in my life that could have not gone so well due to having to be available to coach and fish with these young men. One of whom is at boot camp now and will be a marine, the other will be starting college in January. One of my anglers will make a living fishing either as a guide or on the circuit he has the drive and the ability to do so, but a fishing career is not for everyone just like pro football is not for every kids who suited up on Friday night to battle the cross town rivals. I can say for a fact that I have witness more sportsmanship and ethics from more kids fishing these circuits than in any other sport, While at a weight in on a Saturday of a 2 day tourney I saw kids who were going out the next day to fish sharing information and helping kids they were trying to beat ALL IN HOPES OF EVERYONE DOING WELL AND CATCHING FISH. I happen to not have a new shiny glitter rig, mine is an 87 but we were able to stand proud and catch fish with the best 50k glitter ride, just to brag a little, for the 3 seasons that there has been high school bass tournament in Missouri those young men have finished all three of the season in the top 4 teams. Yes a boat is an advantage at times but if you aint in the right spot you aint gonna catch fish, the boat is a tool plain and simple. We never had fist fights or brawls or throwing stuff and insults at other anglers just people having a great time in the outdoors. So after spending lots of days watching the boys fish and not being able to fish, baking in the son, freezing in the snow, beating my body up on waves so they could fish, worth every penny and hour spent.
