  1. And you too Pete... šŸ˜‚
  2. Somehow humor always gets lost on Social media. Group texting sucks for that too. Not everyone is funny like Wrench and I
  3. Joe would actually be offended that I stuck up for himšŸ˜‚ itā€™s all good, but I donā€™t think itā€™s possible to delete posts so Iā€™ll just change mine to something else.
  4. Morris and his partner were in a tourney in Arkansas back in the 70ā€™s. Their boat capsized in 6ā€™ swells. Apparently Billy was at the dock and saw debris floating around and went to investigate and found Morris clinging to a gas tank.
  5. He saved Johnny Morrisā€™s life once
  6. They still have to obey the game laws and pay taxes like the rest of us do. Iā€™ve seen them cheat on the game laws. But they arenā€™t the only ones...lots of folks do.

    What's Cooking?

Iā€™ve tried the dry aging myself, with those special Japanese bags. It worked well. Yes, Iā€™ll take the info, thanks

    What's Cooking?

Looks great Ness! Iā€™m finding it harder and harder to find good steaks anymore. I thought I found my steak utopia for a reasonable price at Costco. It seems in the last 3-4 years the steaks at Costco are getting worse. They look well marbled but the taste is very flat and I canā€™t seem to get a soft steak no matter how itā€™s cooked. Iā€™m wondering if theyā€™ve somehow changed a contract with one of there suppliers or something? Back to buying the expensive meat market steaks I guess.
  9. Nice! I remember meeting him at the Collinsville show...great young man!
  10. That right there is what itā€™s all about!! Nothing else! Congrats Landon!!!
  11. John, I have been to Pax River Naval Air Station in the past. We were scanning Fighter Aircraft. We would go to Solomonā€™s Island and walk around and enjoy fantastic seafood. As we walked we went by a bunch of people catching crabs šŸ¦€. I watched for quite a while. I did noticed they were very accurate about measuring and not getting caught with an undersized crab. I wish the folks in Missouri were more like this. I hope your crabs taste good! Thanks for a great report! Side note: Solomons Island bridge was notorious for having a sobriety check point on the way out. Of course I had nothing to worry about! šŸ˜‚
  12. I had a very big, 35-40ā€ Snook swipe at my topwater right by the boat, my buddies eyes šŸ‘€ were wide open and his jaw dropped...I actually thought it was a Tarpon. Iā€™m so new to this and have no idea if permit or pampano are in this area!
  13. That was a 16ā€ or so and fought like a 5 pound bass...it was incredible
  14. I went to Orlando for ICast and had some free time. I called my old buddy Dan who now lives in Osprey, Florida, which is about a two hour drive from Orlando. We decided to take his boat out and do a little Intracoastal water fishing. His house is approx 300 yards from the water, and his access to daily fishing made me a tad jealous. We went to a local sporting good store to pick up some baits, mainly WTD topwater lures. We explained to the gentleman behind the counter that we were fishing for bigger Snook and he gave us a few spots to try after dark. Funny how those snook are attracted to dock lights. We had quite a time but never caught any big ones. I will go back soon!
  15. Daryk is correct. We are trying to save you frustration. If you hire a guide, he will probably know where the fish are located...thatā€™s the biggest piece of the puzzle. Ask him questions, maybe youā€™ll get an understanding of why the fish are there. Catching them is the easier part of the equation. Saves you so much time. Or...have an experienced angler take you out. Internet forums are a permanent record and people are very reluctant to give too much info.
  16. Lol ok
  17. Glad youā€™re on the mend! Pm me and Iā€™ll send you some baits
  18. Letā€™s not forget this hip classic.........
  19. So you have to ask yourself how much your time is worth. If you think that hiring a shuttle service is too expensive then I guess your time is not worth much.
  20. The only thing I can say is that for it to become a family tradition, there must have been an excellent and warming atmosphere with the owner of the lodge. Iā€™m sure it was combined with decent food and accommodations that made it a peaceful place to stay. We had a place in Canada like what I described back in the 90ā€™s. It was in Minaki, Ontario along the Winnipeg river chain lakes. After the the lodge owner retired the place was purchased by an ex fighter pilot who thought it should be run like a boot camp. If you wanted to take a picture of your 40ā€ Northern, he would run down and scream ā€œPut my breeders back in the water!!ā€ No one went there anymore.
  21. Iā€™m happy to hear itā€™s not a ā€œone and doneā€ trip for you Al! My opinion is Mary will be shuttling you for another 20 years.
  22. Rhonda is fantastic doin some good Merle
  23. I hate to admit it, but Iā€™ve found myself stopping to take a break from casting (after a couple of hours) and taking a seat to cast. Yes, Iā€™m sure my low T and advancing age might have something to do with it.
