    What's Cooking?

Super cool Ness! We've got a bunch of Lebanese in STL. Our own Zipstick actually. I can't seem to place a good Lebanese restaurant in STL. Need to ask around! I'm sure Zipstick or JoeD would know.
  4. 1 pound fish: water skates back on fast retrieve 2 pound fish: decent keeper 3-4 pound fish: Nice tourney fish man! 5-6 pound fish: Kicker fish 7-8 pound fish: you just won the Big Bass Bash 9-10 pound fish: you're Big news for 2-3 weeks for the locals 11-12 pound fish: You become a local legend Anything over 12 pound fish: They name a street after you!!
  5. I also think a bunch of these fish have been relocated by the flood in December.
  6. Very nice!
  7. This year seems to be much different than previous Springs....Especially last year which sucked horribly
  8. The floods made the gigging season almost non existent, that's one of the biggest factors.
  9. That is as good as it gets! I love the excitement in his voice!
  10. Grunnel? I honestly don't know
  11. I don't doubt it, people behave differently in different situations. I'm sure if he was having a good fishing day, all was roses and rainbows. If he was pressing, well, just the opposite.
  12. I can't watch the .mov on my iPhone for some reason
  13. Hello and welcome
  14. Hilarious
  15. I thought snagging game fish was against the law?
  16. Brian that is awesome man! Big brute!!
  17. Fantastic report and very nice smallmouth! I know it's much easier for you and Mary facing this treatment knowing that the cancer is already contained. FWIW, There is a new Proton Therapy machine installed at Siteman Center in downtown STL. This technology is kind of a newer form of radiation. It's very precise and maps out the tumor completely, then apples more power to the tumor than traditional radiation, because it's so precise there is less collateral tissue damage like traditional radiation. The cure rate is like 90% on certain cancers. The company who sells the machine, Mevion, hires my company to laser calibrate the machine. At 25 million a pop, there are only a few throughout the country. You might want to ask about it for Mary.
  18. Absolutely i was responding to other posts, I think we posted at the exact same time
  19. Don't care what anyone says, if you're using a bright pink jig that can plainly be seen in 6-7 FOW with a huge treble, and watching it drift down by a big brown shadow and snag it, don't be thinking you're a great fisherman and brag on FB, you're a dork, plain and simple. Every trout park has a "Hero" that has his picture posted all over the cork board holding big Browns. There was an old man who was the local expert at Montauk, I believe, who used a white marabou jig and did the same thing.
  20. Pretty much, it always seems like they both dump the mud!
  21. I always keep forgetting that the Dry Fork is the Bourbeuse of the Upper Meramec!
  22. Poor young man, no one deserves to die that young.
  23. I was thinking he looked more like........
  24. It's much easier done with a gig from the comfort of a boat! Even grandma can get in on the action, with her gray ponytail and tats!
