    I know they are very crafty fish.....you can see a school of them gulping air on the surface 100 yards away and I defy anyone that can sneak closer than 30 yards without them knowing it and lowering themselves, disappearing completely out of sight.

    That was a great report Ness! I'm guilty of concentrating so hard on the fishing when I take a trip that I forget to stop and smell the roses!

    Saw this yesterday at a local pond, thought it was a water snake but 2 people have told me about the triangular shaped head and now I'm not sure.

    Well I will say that if you respond quickly and completely to their requests, they treat you well. A simpler tax code would actually get the government more revenue.

    Lost my father last Labor day weekend...He retired in 1984 after 32 years as a Metrologist at McDonnell Douglas. That's almost 30 years of retirement, He definitely beat the odds. When he retired, the average was 13 paychecks before you died. If you do the math that's over 345 paychecks. Who knew I would end up being a metrologist too! I guess it's DNA

    Well, the last few weeks I would say. Actually it wasn't me but another who told me of that 20" fish bedded in very shallow water and I recognized it from the pic. My source thinks its a old male fish by the way it was guarding.

    I was hoping you released it! It's bed was 15ft downstream of the rope swing. Should've seen 2 other hook marks

    True, True but at least it's outdoors related and beats Jersey shore or Dancing with the stars. All in all, it's proof that I need to take my TV out of my house and have an exorcism/funeral in the back yard starting with with everyone hacking it up with a machete.

    The fish in Missouri are on the beds right now and are easily caught. You might see them on the beds so just be careful handling them and release them back as soon as possible.
