They are truly fantastic. In my opinion they taste better medium plus than medium minus. They are usually so thick and still taste great slightly over cooked

So I’m assuming he caught the “Big brown fish” which was the 5 pounder I guess under the bait ball. I’ve seen a bunch of people get directly over the bait ball and vertical spoon or Silver buddy thru the bait ball. It Always seems the smaller fish are right there up against and closer the the bait ball and the larger fish are a little deeper and just grab the “easy pickings” . So Mikes technique of casting past the bait ball and allowing the swimbait to pendulum down was the ticket to catch the bigger fish. The bait would only contact the bigger fish and not need to go thru the keepers....Nice! I'm sure that knowing the fall rate of that bait combined with the size of the bait ball all comes from experience. You would also need to figure how far to cast depending on the size of the bait ball.

My Chinese father in law caught a box turtle in our yard and ate it 3 days later. My wife was pregnant at the time and he fed her the turtle. Apparently in China there is a tradition for pregnant women to eat turtle for health reasons!?!? Who knows, but we had to explain to our oldest daughter (who was 5 at the time) that we let daisy go because her mother was looking for her. interesting side note: I googled “Box turtle recipes” and the only thing that came up was “ What to feed your box turtle” 😂

There is one fish that I really dislike...Tilapia I don’t care how you cook it. It has become popular in the last 15 years for some reason. Probably the ease of farm raising them.
