  1. Topwater, jigs tipped with plastic trailers or tubes, Super Flukes, a few smaller crankbaits, and a few spinnerbaits. That's all you'll need.
  2. If the stock hooks won't pass the standard fingernail test on all three trebles, they're gone. I don't have enough confidence in my ability to sharpen trebles good enough by hand.
  3. I saw that on FB, from seemingly out of nowhere!
  4. Usually when you find cans laying around an MDC access, they aren't Mexi-cans!
  5. The fact they were hiding in a bush would be a no go for me.....I wouldve called the cops
  6. Call it overkill, but I replace all my hooks on everything, including brand new Lucky Craft, right out of the box. If I can get by with the right size, I always use Gamakatsu EWG trebles in either standard length or short shank. Owner round bend are excellent as well. The Aaron Martin Gamakatsu hooks are sticky as heck but they are a little too thin for my taste.
  7. I hear Owner Hyper wire are the best
  8. Had 3 of them come apart the exact same way. Fantastic fish man!

  11. One good thing about this trip, Scott has converted some live bait fishermen over to the Ned.
  12. Those are some great colors too! You did good!
  13. I thought I actually made up the word arsony....but it's in the urban dictionary??
  14. Nothing says "I Love You", like arsony!
  15. Close, but not yet...thanks for asking
  16. Yea but you're disqualified! You're too good!!?
  17. First person to catch a 20" or better smallmouth during the 4th of July 2016 weekend. Must have picture with measuring tape or scale. Proof of date helps too! Good Luck! Ps. Please release the fish?
  18. Horrible, prayers for his family
  19. Bill brings up a good point. You can learn to be a better fisherman by just slowing down and observing things around you. Listening for splashes, watching blow ups, gulls gathering and dropping, and yes, sight fishing. Get yourself a good quality pair of polarized glasses and you will be surprised what's right at the bleeding edge of your vision. Caught my biggest smallmouth to date by seeing it swim with a group of carp about 7-8 ft down.
  20. Yea, I agree with Ham. I fished Lake Erie quite a bit with tubes bouncing on the bottom. No deal breaker, just check your line often.
