No it doesn't. Just because you're allowed to do it doesn't mean you should. It takes years for enough data to facilitate a regs change. In the meantime a bunch of legal fisherman could destroy a river or lake.

I saw Dan Gapen at a sports show once, and he had an 11+ pound replica of a smallmouth mounted. He said he caught it at the dam at Table Rock. I asked him why he didn't apply for the state record. He said it wouldn't look good for a guide to apply for a state record.

If the people buying these are buying them for an investment, and are going to never fish them and put them in a safe, they may or may not get their money back. If they are buying them for their superior fish catching ability, they're crazy.

Did you use the Razors Edge hook sharpener? I have one. It puts the Trokar type edge on the hooks. It makes them scary sharp but the edge gets rolled over too quick. The instructional video that came with it was so corny I can't even describe it. At one point in the video the guy looks at the camera with a straight face and says "Do not attempt to use this if you've been drinking or using drugs!"

Thanks Al, I regret this thread was ever started. It was a huge mistake on my part. I was new to the forum, and had actually never been in a forum before and it was my first. I kind of started out half cocked with little information. We all need forgiveness from time to time. The more I know Phil, the more I love the man! As far as the politics, I absolutely have many friends who don't think like me, but we still get along great! -

You darn near have to catch a big fish in the first 10 minutes on a specific dock before they are all spooked for the day with that many boats. After that you're better off in about 8-10 FOW somewhere.
