I absolutely understand how this could happen after being out in my jet this weekend. Coming around a blind corner going too fast. People use the river like it's the Indianapolis speedway.

When designing a jig, you have to build it around the hook. And if your not a hook manufacturer, you're pretty well stuck with what's out there. The only way to get Owner or Gamakatsu to make a new style is to have a contract that promises you will buy an ungodly amount of hooks from them. I'm pretty sure Nutech was stuck with the closest thing to the ideal hook they could find. They have since come out with extremely good quality hooks. I'm not a pro staffer or have no agenda.

It takes a special kind of person to dive. When we were at the River smallies event a week ago, I was reminded about what kind of person could squeeze through a hole with diving gear and venture back 1800 feet inside Boiling Springs. They have it totally mapped out.! I wouldn't do it for 1 million dollars.

I wish I would've stayed up to listen to the music! I woke up at 3:300 am to fish the Piney and was extremely tired. But I woke up temporarily and heard "Small Medium at Large". -

Linda Rondstat has Parkinson's and Joan Baez is NOT dead.......... As for the NED, Charlie Brewer slider is pretty close with a slightly less minnow looking profile. This whole dead stick thing has always done well. The Japanese have a dead stick technique with a different name but they are all very similar.
