You bring up a good point old plug, the rules are changing regarding the information obtained from locals before a tournament. The cheating is just more sophisticated now. In your case I believe you've done the right thing. In my case however the doc told me I was a perfect candidate for only performing LASIK on one eye (mono vision) which allows me to never need to wear glasses at all. One eye is good for close, the other for far away. It takes a few months for your brain to adjust to it but all is well now. I still wear moderate to cheap priced sunglasses (Strike King Optics II) which offer protection and a heck of a good lens for the money.

No doubt the truth will come out Ness. But for me the overall feeling is that the country is moving in the wrong direction in almost every front except the environment. I have virtually no faith in our elected officials on either side. What's right is now wrong, what's wrong is now right. Not a good sign. I'm not going to get too excited anymore... Just have fun with my family and fish as much as possible.

Since most of the Conservatives are Evangelicals, There's a lot of Community outreach done behind-the-scenes. I support many causes through my church. Although there are some decent government charities, Giving out condoms to 12-year-olds is not one of them.

Mic, F&F was merely responding to Al's challenge. I really don't think he was comparing apples and oranges. As far as the the recent scandals, the IRS scandal is the most sinister. Benghazi was just CYA kind of spin to get things quiet before the election, and I agree with Mic it was just an incompetent screw up. The spying was something I always knew was going on and figured the people who didnt know this were just a little naive. But the IRS scandal really really pisses me off! You're absolutely right, it's tough to catch them in the act, but it is possible......a couple of well engineered sting operations combined with harsh punishment will be the tipping point I'm sure. Up until now there hasn't been enough public outrage. The biggest problem is that some organizations don't see it as a problem worth dealing with. That's changing quickly because we are well documented and passionate and now have the ear of the right people.

FWIW, I was a Shimano guy my whole life and kind of got off course when they stopped making the Curado that I like. Recently bought 2 of the cheaper Lews SH1SH 7:1 and am very impressed with the drag and braking. The only thing I don't like is they sometimes have kind of a hollow sound, but it certainly doesn't affect the performance. Time will tell if they hold up ,I sure expect they will.
