cwc87 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I have paid for putting in my canoe, bass boat, kayak all over Missouri. I think the most was paying $10 dollars. I have property on all four sides of a river bridge on a popular float stream. I charge $5 per craft and $5 if leaving a vehicle parked. Now, I do give breaks if there is a trailer load of say 4 kayaks or canoes. I get alot of uneasy looks from people paying to do this. So, if you had to pay what is your OPINION?
Ham Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It's your property. You can charge whatever you want. That said, I think $5 a boat should cover leaving a vehicle there as well, but hey that;s just me. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Zack Hoyt Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 $10 is extremely fair for just putting in a boat. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions

Dutch Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Seems fine to me. I used to pay $1, when $1 was worth something, just to drive through the gate at Asher's Cane Bottom. I just wish I were where I could charge for creek access. We've already moved the fence where people can park but that doesn't keep them from tearing down the fences.
ColdWaterFshr Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 River pimp with a furry hat and a bad case of stink eye guilt affectin the posture of your swing low, thats what I think.
Gavin Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 $5 to park & $5 to launch...is a bunch of BS........I wont pay...and I never have ;>)!...I think your operation sucks the life out of that crick.......Wadda ya launch...5-800 boats on a Saturday?.....$40 a pop, 10-12 weekends a year, plus camping, beer, & charcoal....Concenrate on that.. Sell a couple more 30 packs and just leave the do it yourselfers alone...Heck, I might even stop and split a 30 pack with you......provided that it was fairly priced. Cheers.
gotmuddy Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 That is the beauty of this country, there are still places where someone with private land can do what they want. I think $5 to park is a great deal, I pay $10 to park on crooked creek and its still a great deal. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Outside Bend Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Honestly? I won't pay for access to something I already own. But knowing how some folks treat public accesses, I can completely understand why a landowner would want to regulate who's on their property. <{{{><

If he owns the land at all access points I see an issue with you owning it too everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
