techo
I used to fish two or three times a week, minimum. Last year I think I went almost a month without fishing and hardly fished at all. I haven't used any vacation for two years. I need to get back at it this year. Something about being on the lake seems to make life better, more enjoyable and appreciate it more. Taking the last week in April off to fish! Beat the crowds and have some fun. Tim Carpenter

Champ188
Tim, the B.A.S.S. Central Open is on TR the last week of April. May get a little crowded out there. I hope to be among them, though.

getfished
Hey there Techo, good to see ya post up. I've noticed your absence so to speak. I've been in sort of the same situation. 2011 is gonna be a tough year for me and the misses but we got a plan and the future is promising. Up to this point I've spent the majority of my income on fishing, the rest, I wasted. I need to fish at least 2-3 times a month or I sort of disassemble slowly. More is better. Good Post. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/

I will follow you around then! I have a friend coming down from Minnesota for the week so can't change now. It will work out. Any enlightened thoughts on how bad the spectator traffic might be, has been in the past? Have always managed to miss BASS before, but will be there smack in the middle this time. jdmidwest
I read a little article about the unused vacation this week. Seems like several in the past few years have skipped vacations to give the impression that they are harder workers to their bosses. But in reality, lack of vacation actually leads to decreased production. You have to take a break, life is too short. Have always managed to miss BASS before, but will be there smack in the middle this time. It will be a bit uncomfortable. Might be interesting to see if they all go up the James, look for early beds or use the stickbait. Will be interesting either way. One way to stay out of the way is go in the afternoon and fish until dark, instead of the morning. Tim Carpenter
