gotmuddy Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I would be interested in river tournies or rodeos or whatever you want to call it. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Smalliebigs Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I'll make any of the river shindigs that I can. My first vote would be for the Bourbeuse for a few reasons...it needs as many spot roundups as it can get, it's a river without liveries so it's tough to float without private shuttles set up, which means I don't get to float it that often (which also means it won't be as crowded on a weekend), and it's close to me! But I'll travel as far as BP or Gasconade for a one day deal. BTW, love the new signature JD. Now we're on the same page. Of course he did blow his own brains out... I'm with E on this one let's hammer the Bourb, I know the river really well and there are some spots that will produce some sweet smallies Yeah, it's got a lot of frog water but it's close and never crowded. Mike, are you going to give away the rulers like Drew does with the Riverbassin tour??? Let's fry up a ton of those little spotted bassturds
Stoneroller Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 i'm going to look into possibly getting some rulers that would be available, at cost to anyone not having one. if i can get them for free, then they will be given away. i'm kicking around some 'sponsor' ideas, mostly for a 'capt's bag' but i'm trying to keep it free or as cheap as possible. snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I don't have a canoe or whatever, but if you do the Bourb I'd go if someone had an open seat. If you ever consider a lake tourney and allow trolling motors I have pond prowler that would work well. Hit me up if anyone needs a partner, I'm in St Charles. Pete

snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Well thank you G. I think you might be a little out of the way though. Aren't you in AR? Pete
gotmuddy Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I am willing to drive to fish. As it turns out I cannot fish the riverbassin stop due to a schedule conflict. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Al Agnew Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Bourbeuse is a great idea for the spotted bass slaughter. And if it goes well and the interest remains high, you could do the same thing on lower Meramec and/or Big River. All three are stuffed full of spots. Just end it in plenty of time to clean the evil little critters before dark so that you can pick out the worms. It IS possible to pick out the worms, by the way, although some are so infested I just give up on it and toss them.
