jdmidwest Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Sounds like poop in the water again this summer with the E coli samples. You would have thunk that the increased inflows would have diluted all of the septic tank runoff into the lakes. Happy Memorial Day swimming in Party Cove... Members FishinJack Posted May 26, 2011 Members Posted May 26, 2011 They do their samples every year right after huge flooding rains. Guess how many people have gotten sick from the water in the last 10 years. Not a single person.
fishinwrench Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 You're wrong, Jack. Lots have gotten ill. They just don't report their names and illnesses to the Lake Sun Leader because they are busy fighting infections and feel like sleeping all the time. Pull your head out of your butt!
eric1978 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 News flash...Lake O is polluted. Who would have guessed? Maybe if the EPA was allowed to do their job they could get people to clean up their disgusting toilet waste equipment. It's gonna take government regulation to fix the problem down there, and we know how we feel about those dirty words.
eric1978 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I'm betting there already is a regulation. Guess it's not a very good one then. There's poop in the water after all.
ness Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I think all poop should be illegal. I hate that crap. John
Thom Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 You're wrong, Jack. Lots have gotten ill. also privacy laws pertaing to reporting prevent limited reporting of illness only that fecal material is present. If you owned property on LOZ would want to let it be known that the water is polluted. It is in fact and practice. You can see the lines coming to the edge of the lake running into the water. snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I heard, in actuality that it's PBR in the water. They don't want to start mass hysteria so they just tell everyone it's poop. Pete
Stoneroller Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 frankly I hope this completely destroys the property values of the 'houses' around that lake. it's the homeowners and their old, failing, illegal, etc septic systems or lack there of, that causes this problem. Regulations are only effective if you have enforcement agencies who actually do their jobs, which seems to be rarer and rarer these days. Fish On Kayak Adventures, LLC.
