ColdWaterFshr Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Sold over $2000 worth of extra's..and still have plenty left....Cash in if you have more than you need. Tell me how you did this. I got a few extras that I would part with. What'd you get for 1/4 saddles? Got several I'd part with -- and not to fly-fishermen. I want top dollar from ditzy stylist chicks.

snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I pulled all the sizes I needed, cut the saddles in half and put them on Craigslist. Met the lady at QT and sold them for five times what I paid. I was going to throw them away. All the small sizes were gone. Pete
Gavin Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Are you implying you turned a profit? I don't know anybody with half the crap you've got Profit? Hah...I did make a nice profit on the feathers but there is still a fly shop worth of stuff in the basement. Lets just call it a return of sunk costs.
troutfiend1985 Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Troutfiend, I was somewhat sympathetic to your arguement until you injected 'lawyers' into it. Obviously you haven't been pressured to meet hours billed yet. Get back to me in a decade and we'll talk about 'fair and square' then. Hope that is just a joke as the only reference to lawyers was law school, and not all law students become lawyers . If a lawyer was doing what K&K is doing, it would be a conflict of interests for an attorney. And if I was in the position of sacrificing my ethics for one client, or a couple clients, then I fire the client without blinking. Not all lawyers are scum bags. Ness is right, if K&K wants to do what they are doing, then do it through the back door. Otherwise you end up with grumbling from the peanut gallery. “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis

I think Gilley was trying to say that sometimes you end up doing things that end up being on the border, you can't help it, just happens. I do however agree with him that in 10 years your attitude might be different. Everyone starts out like you, with great ideals. Just get crapped on a few times and you will become more jaded and skeptical. BTW, few lawyers are Atticus Finch. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
