Bill Babler Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Guys, hate to leave you with the maybe record heat coming, but Phil and I have chores on Kodiak Island Alaska for the next few weeks. We heard they had a salmon and Halibut problem that needed some thinning. Don't want any big Blowups here and hopfully will be monitering from the Lodge on the Island. They have WiFi. Also, I want the fish to be biting when I get back and lots of reports on how, where and what I can catch them on lake wide. Failure to gather this information will have grave results for the lot of you. Champ, Donna and Denny get your butts out of the house and onto the water and keep us posted. T you and Gone Fishing need to work the lower James and Shell Knob area and let me know whats up. This is the most fantastic Board on the Web. I will keep you all informed on our Alaska deal. You can see it on the Alaska Board. Weather on Kodiak yesterday was a mess 70 degrees partly sunny and a light 7 mile an hour ocean breeze. Guess I can get used to that kind of crappy weather. Miss ya all, but hopfully I can contribute abit, from the Emerald Isle. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Hope the troller has enough power to pull the boat off submerged trees . Have a good trip ! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Martin Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Bill, take a jacket and wear some sensible shoes !! Have fun men !
magicwormman Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I have to admit, I'm a little bit envious. It sounds like fun. When your wrestling with those big monsters, think about us, sweltering in this heat, desperatly trying to catch a bass or two. Good luck and be safe!!
Sore Thumbs Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Take some Bear repellant with ya. They are more aggressive this year due to warm weather. Have fun and be careful.
Gone Fishing Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Bill, I can't wait for you to get back. I've been looking forward to a good fish fry.
Champ188 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Phil, remember you don't have to outrun the bear, just Babler. Donna and I will get out there soon and have you lined out when you get back, Bill. Denny will do his part, I'm sure.
