Al Agnew Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Well, this has been entertaining. Skinner is still a pretty lake. No development around it yet. Just too many rules. You can't fish within something like 300 feet of the water coming in from the Colorado River canal. You can't fish in the cove where the marina is. According to what I heard, a guy was bank fishing there a couple weeks ago and was supposedly stalked by a mountain lion. Chief--I pick my battles. I'm not convinced that trout in MO have had a real adverse effect on the native fisheries, unlike wild burros and horses in a lot of places out west have had on the native ecosystems. As for cattle and other domesticated livestock, there are a lot of places I'd rather were cattle-free, but I'm realistic enough to know that people actually use cattle (and I like steak). There's a huge difference between a feral animal that is having an adverse effect on otherwise intact natural ecosystems and has no practical use, and a domesticated animal in a already altered setting.

ozark trout fisher Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Boy this thread took some weird turns. It's hard to see where the original topic went. Not really very weird for an OAF thread. Pretty typical actually... If it goes past two pages it's gonna be a disaster.
