denjac Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I know many have had doubles on the A rig. Bill"s name is Bill double Babler. But this was my first. The big smallie was 5.4 on my scales. The little guy was 16 inches. Quite a handful. Slipped and fell going for the net in the back of the boat, then hit the spool release and away the went. They stayed on and got em in. 4 or 5 casts later had my second double a 4 pound black and a short spot. Had 20 or so pounds with my best 5. Only caught 9 or 10 all day in the rain. Water temp was 56 up around the dam with it being 61 in the backs of the creeks. Did I mention it rained? Geez. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Buzz Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Nice. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

dtrs5kprs Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Love that report. Sounds like the sort of thing I usually pull...swinging a fish smack into a goose on the back deck (don't ask), finding new ways to fall off the front deck, and my all time move of stepping in an open hatch. Especially liked stepping into the open battery hatch on the last boat, at about 430am.
