Taney is an excellent fishery. It is just the holiday weekends that seem to brting out the worst in people. Guided Thursday and Friday and did not even hardly see a boat. People just trying to cram to much into to little time and expecting the world.

As you all know, I either guide or fish Alaska every year. Yes you will catch bigger fish, but the numbers of quality fish that taney and the rest of the White River has will rival anywhere. Sometimes we forget, me included how blessed we are to have a fishery like this in our own back yard.

Another factor is that there are people that are completely clueless about ediquite on the water, They may not mean to be so, but they simple do not have a clue. They come out 3 times a yr. on the holidays and that for sure is a problem.

Ya, frankly I would have had no chance against a pair like that. If 5 or 6 of us old gizzers that were waiting at the ramp would have attacked them, they would have killed the whole lot of us.

Both of them were 30 yrs old, 6'5" plus and 250 lbs. with no fat They had burr haircuts were tatted up and looked like MMA Heavyweights. I will tell you they would not have had a problem pulling us apart and they knew it and worse yet. They wanted to. Whould not have bothered them in the least to fight 55 yr. old fat men.

Did anyone see the State Patrol on Taney this weekend? The deal combining the water and hwy patrol was a huge mistake and has turned out to be a joke.

Yeah guys like the pair you saw have to compensate for their tiny weiners. But it's not their fault, obviously being courteous and respectful to folks wasn't taught to them by their parents.

You know I fish by myself most the time, I can have my boat launched in out of the way of a ramp in minutes and loaded just as fast. But I see people all the time who wait until they get to the ramp to get ready. I watched this group at 12 bridge ramp 2 weeks ago, they showed up and started unloading stuff from 3 trucks to the boat. I pulled around them with anouther boater and the of that boat came and told us "we cut in line" I looked at him and said next time get ready before you get to the lake or better yet launch the boat then beach it and load up so you are not in peoples way..

He was in the parking lot not the ramp. but didnt like the fact people went in front of him. I watched them finally 30 minutes later launch after 8 other boats launched. When they ran out they had Beer-a-flowing and 12 people and gear all piled into a 16ft Tahoe. Hope they made it wherever they were going. And again Ill go back to where the _ _ _ _ is law enforcement on our waters!

I swear we should all save these threads and when people get injured or killed on our local lakes send these threads to the Media. I hate to say it but i really think its going to take shaming the PD's into acting. I have watched boats over-loaded, to young a driver, not adults on boats, drinking and boating, Full speed trhough bouy lines, swamping smaler boats, weaving in and out of boats ALL in the last few days. 1 just 1 OFFICER could write tickets all day and the word would get out... I know they like to warn because they dont want to ruin peoples good times BUT good times get people killed by the good time people.

That's such bs! They are lucky no one let the air out if thier tires.

That's when you see their trailer sitting on the lot after you take out and actually do let the air out of their trailer tires...gonna be hard for them to take out when they are ready to go...

Taney isn't water built for jet skis..if for no other reason, unsafe. Believe there should be a total restriction or at least below the Landing....

The government wants to be deep into our lives, it's too bad they can't start where it matters.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Bill,

I would have your back in a millisecond against them redneck yunguns. We're both fat, but even in the square of our fat we're hard as nails and I KNOW we could take em. The right string of obscenities unleashed with absolute conviction and a bulging vein in the throat, . . . . they would back down, there is no question they would cower in fear. Unfortunately, the Memorial weekend swings wide the cellar doors of the summertime hoodlums and general yay-hoo population and there are 3 more for everyone you can shout down or try to talk sense into. Its a war of attrition and we lose. Till Labor Day.

Hang in there.
