eric1978 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Wow, epic! Gotta expect some of those snags when you wing it like you guys did, but that's what makes those kind of trips so memorable and fun! Awesome.
ozark trout fisher Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Nice pictures. Nothing like exploring new water and catching some nice fish. On a side-note...From the pictures, I can't help but notice a striking resemblance between the Strawberry and the Bourbeuse. If I didn't know otherwise I would have thought that's where those pictures were taken.
Greasy B Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I love that narrow channel on the South Fork. Reminds me of the upper Gasconade. Small stream float fishing is as good as it gets. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
stlfisher Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Sounds like you guys had a great trip...well done.
gotmuddy Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I am quite disappointed that no one asked for info on the south fork or CC. I can tell from the pics where you put in on the south fork, and cc. I would loved to have gone, and my house would have been central to basically all the rivers you floated. Maybe next time! Glad yall had a great float, and caught bunches of fish. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Tim Smith Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Awesome pics and an awesome trip. I passed on a smallmouth trip in Illinois this weekend and now I'm kicking myself. It's hard to get a bass thumb from a trout...I miss that.
gotmuddy Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Dude you live in gods country!!!! thats for sure.....good for you. When i head down that way I'm calling your butt. Scott give me a holler. I know quite a few places to get on the river that arent marked by a map. Sorry about that, it was kind of thrown together at the last minute. We will keep you in the loop next time we head down that way. it happens. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
