cnr Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 These guys are going to take themselves out of the gene pool someday soon. Very scary video.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Advance to 3:15. Now I see why so many on here are blasting Jet Boats. I didn't realize this was even possible. Bad News. Guest Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Some high tensile wire across the river should fix that problem
Smalliebigs Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Some high tensile wire across the river should fix that problem Funny you should mention that Andy, I caught a landowner on Stouts Creek who had done just what you are saying.....I guess to discourage floating and wading??? It wasn't a fence for livestock I'm not that stupid.....just one single very stout wire right at the waters level across the creek in a very bad posistion for paddlers thats for sure.
Guest Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 It is only a matter of time before we start to see those kind of boats on the lower meramec and gasconade, why can't the MDC put out some common sense regulations for jet boats?
Greasy B Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 It's too late they are already here. The only difference between these follows and some I’ve run across in the Ozarks is these guys don’t mind putting 10 years of wear and tear on their boat in 5 minutes. There’s plenty of stupid to go around. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Mitch f Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Advance to 3:15. Now I see why so many on here are blasting Jet Boats. I didn't realize this was even possible. Bad News. Daryk- it's really not possible if you have a brain. Strictly momentum. I can't even imagine what the bottom of the boat looks like. One false move and they punch a hole in the bottom and they will have a hell of a problem. Andy, I think your right. The rivers may look like this someday. Crazy, they must have an inboard 250hp Greasy-ditto "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LittleRedFisherman Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Wow, don't think I've ever seen anything like that. That boat must be made of titanium. Crazy is all I can say, and dangerous! Hope I never run into those guys out on the river! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
