fishinwrench Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Sounds like y'all are doing more boat riding than fishing.
gotmuddy Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Sounds like y'all are doing more boat riding than fishing. I will spend an average of 1 hour motoring in a day of fishing. if I fish the mouth of CC I launch at buffalo city and thats 5 miles. If I want to fish the buffalo I launch at buffalo city and go up the buffalo 4 miles. sometimes I just go up a mile or two and drift. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Ham Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 What eats fuel is when they are running a bunch of water and I run up three miles and drift back multiple times In a day. The jet is slow and noisy as well, but I love running shallow w/o worrying about props. I ran about a mile in water less than 5 inches deep at WOT. Scary skinny. gotmuddy Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 running more than 100ft in 5" of actual water wot is more than scary. your boat will still draft 4" if you have a fiberglass jon. I have ran 3" of water for about a 25ft stretch, but I prefer at least 6" everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

gotmuddy Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 9 Has the Ranger not stopped you on the Buffalo and explained the 10 hp limit?(with his shawnee with 25 hp jet) ive never seen a ranger or game warden while fishing in the past 3 years, however I only run a 9.9 on the buffalo. Ham, have you had any hard hits with the fiberglass boat? I am sort of scared of hitting one with my new js boat. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Ham Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I've hit the foot harder that I would like a time or two. No significant damage so far. I've got a couple of dings on the Supreme, but none of them happened while under significant speed. I tend not to run real fast thru boulder fields. I'm pretty brave when I'm running over a gravel flat though. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
