Rock Bass?

I need a little help to identify this fish/rock. My wife found this on our property off Y highway. It sure looks like a petrified fish, but feels like a rock. I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime. I would love to find someone who could tell us what it really is.

Petrified fish looks like a possibility. Maybe a native artifact of some sort? Was that area under water during the 2011 flood?

On a side note, are you still pouring plastic?

Nice! Any real detail that makes you believe it's a petrified fish? What are some dimensions? Would probably weigh real good in a tourney if legal length.

Question about the water level is due to evidence of changes in water level causing "mummification" with respect to human remains. Seems plausible at least.

Looks like a fish shaped cabnet or drawer handle. You sure it's not metal?

Yes, I'm still pouring plastic, when I'm not working on the new house. My fishing time has drastically diminished since I started building our dream home.

The rock/fish is just over 7 inches and weighs about 14 ounces. It feels just like any other rock...............but sure looks like a fish.

flowing water can do some amazing things. I think you just found an amazing eroded rock.

I think it was made by moving water.Can anybody explain this rock.My buddy found it years ago in a creek.
