So if you could only use one spinnerbait (and not a custom), which brand/color/size would it be?

I've done okay on Strike King 1/8th black ones myself, but I don't know if I'd make it the go-to.

Ive since replaced it with 4" swimbaits

Love the War Eagles as well, match the color to the water clarity. Keep in mind as others have said, a bass will more readily take a bigger shad than a bigger craw, so don't downsize too much.

War Eagles and Terminators are good...Gotta have a curly tail grub trailer...Usually White, or Chartruese & White..1/2 or 3/8oz usually...1/8 & 1/4oz baits dont get down in current very well. Yet another good reason to get a casting rod.

this got me to thinking about past spinnerbait favorites. In the early 70's, Bass Buster Scorpion, then in late 70's a Blakemore Baby Buzzspin(chartruese with double colorado gold blades), then in the 80's the spinnerbait era really hit stride. In the 80's my favorite was probably a 3/8 oz white strike king single spin with a silver colorado blade. In the 90's I did good with willow blades, especially a 1/2 ounce with double willow blades, one gold, one silver, but the silver had to be the back blade. And now lately I sort of favor the War Eagles (because they always run true) and still the 1/2 ounce double willow which still catches them sometimes. I am thinking I might try the old colorado blade baits more this year to see if they still work.
