Disgusting. Good thing they got caught otherwise they would have done it again the following weekend.

What I'm wondering is how many years they've been doing this? I'm guessing these guys have been keeping everything they've caught since day 1.

There is a big culture gap, not to say that some locals don't do the same thing. I've seen the same thing happen below Truman Dam. Some people think it's a free grocery store, not a fishery.

I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.

Foreigners, especially Asian foreigners, that migrate here dont usually follow game laws. Ive seen it at Busch Wildlife. I have a budy who saw a bunch of asians filling five gallon buckets of fish out of sinking creek and the current river, he thinks it was the folks from the Asian restaurant in salem coming to get fish to sell at the restaurant. What a joke. Not to sound rascist but if you see asians fishing in your area keep an eye on em they might have a bucket full of smallies.

These guys were all in their 60's. that generation probably grew up in total poverty and have that mentality. I've seen 3 separate Asian people get busted for fishing at Meramec springs without buying the daily permit. Same scenario for each one...the first thing they do is plead ignorance. But they know exactly what they are doing, they are just not happy about paying the $3.50 or whatever the fee is. The park rangers have seen this scenario before and won't budge.

So who do y'all think deserves to be punished worse, these guys or the spoonbill egg sellers?

Now, who do you think WILL BE punished worse?

Funny, the only bust I've ever witnessed was at Bennett and they were Asians with 2 limits when they were caught about 10 AM, They probably would have had the trunk full by the time the whistle blew.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
