eric1978 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Man that is nice. I found this plan that I like, plus the original builder, Anna, is hot. A plus for sure. Actually, if you look around her website she has some nice, but simple plans. http://ana-white.com/2013/02/plans/casual-2x4-desk Yeah she's caught on fire. The DIY types love her stuff. It's a good resource for beginners...but it's hardly fine woodworking. I wouldn't use the plans for the top...little stuff will constantly fall through the cracks. Follow those plans to build the base and throw a sheet of decent ply on top.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Hmmmm. That spice rack looks more like a cabinet. Yeah and there are no inlays. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
exiledguide Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Me to Wayne except I kept the feathers and fur in an Umco largest tackle box without the possum belly and the hooks and whatever in a smaller box. I keep planning to start again but I think some of the stuff is no longer legal and I don't know if fur that old would be usable. I may not have the best flies bu I still have a lot of 40 year old flies.
jdmidwest Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Holy crap! Those paddles are so light they float in mid air. How do you lay them down in the boat and keep them there? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
fishinwrench Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I still expect a mummy to fall out of that spice rack (aka; cabnet) someday. I appreciate the craftsmanship and fine wood involved but that freakin' thing belongs in a Spielburg movie. When I was a little bitty 3/16 wrench my grandparents had a big standup clock that looked alot like that thing. I was scared to death of it and panicked if left in the room alone with it. By the time I was about a 7/16 I had almost gotten over it, but then one day when the house was real quiet, Mamaw was in the kitchen and Papaw at work..... it made a strange noise. I stayed leery of that clock until I was a teenager. True story.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Eric is a master craftsman with wood. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
