You and Scott ought to get "Customer of the Year" awards :)

Hi my name is Paul and I'm addicted to Tackle Warehouse...

It's getting bad... I've only fished probably 10-12 days this year and have spent well over $500 at Tackle Warehouse just this year. Accumulating new and interesting baits, modifying the ones I have, and stocking up on things I'm running out of has basically become my addiction when I can't fish. 50% of my fishing is for stream smallies, 40% for bass at LOZ, and 10% chasing Walleye, Crappie, Drum, Catfish, Gar, Whites, and Hybrids. If I ever get invited on a trout trip, I'll probably end up investing in that as well. In my mind, all require different equipment and baits. Since my actual time on the water is limited, I try to be prepared for any situation or pattern that may occur. This isn't even including the money I spend at Bass Pro Shops and small custom tackle companies all over the US. Thank God for being able to ship to my office!

I'm also looking to sell off some of my lower end rods, reels, and tackle boxes so I can buy new, higher end equipment. Shoot me a PM if your looking for any low to middle end equipment. I'll try to post a list of what I have available in the near future.

Sorry for the thread hijack!

Paul

Tackle Warehouse.....Cost me a $100 every time I look at their site...As for cranks...I don't fish them much around here in the summertime but they can be very effective elsewhere. Did a 25 mile float on the St. Croix (Minnesota/Wisconsin border) last week and shallow running crawfish pattern cranks where the ticket for the Smallmouth, Musky, Pike, and Walleye. Figured that craws, frogs, and other game fish made up most of the food chain. We got a fair number of smallies and a couple small pike on fly rood poppers but no panfish...Didn't notice any big minnows...Kinda weird.

I really like this new Strike King 3 XD, runs 10-12 ft and is only 2" long (the body). I always wanted to get and extra 2-3 feet depth out of my wiggle wart and this one fits the bill.

Bandit 300's are excellent crankbaits that fall into the finesse category.

I bet they run 2-3' deeper than a wiggle wart.

Either way, that strike king bait looks good.

Funny but true. I too get all glossy eyed when I log on to TW or walk through BPS/Cabls. Last year i went a little overboard but so far this year I have been strong limiting myself to consumables. With two big trips coming up I'm not sure I hold out any longer.

The first bass I ever caught on an aritificial lure was on the Humpback. I had that same lure for 20 years, it was scarred from use in the "Mayo Ditch" that runs though the farm here, it was full of little spots. Tacklebox got stolen about 7 years ago, and the humpback was in there....:(

My favorite crank when I was a kid was a Norman's Little Scooper. I need to get one out and see if they still like it.
