fishinwrench Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 When they did up the cinnamon pork rinds I was beside myself. Brilliant!
Guest Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Joe, I don't think it matters where you went to school in the 70's, all lunch ladys looked like that. So did the gals in the office....oh wait, the gals in the office WERE the lunch ladys. Remember that paddle with the 3/8" holes in it? You heard it whistle, then WHAPP! Again, and again, and again.... (don't cry) There's a special place in hell for elementary school principles of the 70's My dad was the shop teacher who built those paddles. Honestly I never got in much trouble in school thanks to it. Today's trouble making bully kids need an introduction
Old plug Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Iposted and it never got through soi will post it again just to see if there is someone monitoring things that might have found it offensive. Mitch you said we all know how to fish and about all the equipment. Do not include me in that group. I have only been at it for over 60 years and still learn things. There is many post about lures but i do not see any that go deeply into what a lure or group of lures can do or be amended to do. Like my favored plastic worm. Someone could write a pretty thick book just on the how, when, and what of fishing them. Then there is equipment only thing I know about equipment is it is over priced and people act like a school of feeding white bass to buy it just to be cool. A expert is anyone who can fish for anything anywhere. And fully understand what he is doing. There isn't but a very few on here. And I am not one.but I can vouch for one.

exiledguide Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I don't know everything........... just what I didn't forget.........I think I did know everything a long time ago.......but I can't remember anymore.......and I believe, looking back, there was a lot less to know........I think
Guest Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I like spending money on flashy new lures and pricey equipment. It sure beats the hell out of paying speeding tickets or busted transmissions!

The less to know back then, by recollection, was more fun than the more to know now. A lifetime pursuit of enlightenment, while of noble intent, now merely justifies the bliss of ignorance. Glad I had fun along the way in spite of it. The moral is, the more you know, the more you realize how little you really know, resulting in humility. (or in some cases, senility:-) I think.. I can't dance like I used to.
joeD Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 : Has it ever occurred to (you) that some people with the monetary wherewithal to purchase and use "expensive" or "elite" stuff are actually nice people who actually know how to use it? If you take the lumber off your shoulder, many vistas can be seen, and understood.

Old plug Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I agree with that and when you get into your 70's it will get worse
