Sprint21fter Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I was suprised to see that there wasn't at least an 18lb bag brought in that is what it has been taking to win the Joe Bass the last two tournaments. Maybe they are being conservative with their fish catches since it is a 3 day tournament.
Bill Babler Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Matt Jones has won the last several derbies on the Rock and is fishing this one. Everydays fish count toward the total, and if only 10 boats fish tomorrow, nobody and I mean nobody is sandbagging. They are flat trying to catch every fish they can get a hook into. I think there should be several 15 pound bags today, cause it was quite abit better out there. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 1 fifteen pound bag. Man that is a hard day. For those of you that are struggling on the Rock, look no further than this PAA event. For Cripes sakes we have some of the best local pros and Bassmaster Elite pros and they are just flat stinking it up. Lots of these Elite anglers are coming in with 10 pounds per day and LESS. You catch a 15 inch K that does not weigh 2 pounds and 4 ounces and he is a FREAK. Got a feeling some of these 8 pound 5 fish limits are skinny buck LM. It is just as hard as it gets here. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Go Watson. Known that guy for about 7 years. Funniest nicest guy ever. He's had a lot of top 10's this year, hope he takes this one on his fav. lake. If ya ever get a chanc to meet him buckle up. He is a riot
Champ188 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Fished against Watson for several years in Central Pro-Am and he is indeed a nice guy and a funny fellow. I wish him the best.
Quillback Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 Co-angler won with a 2 day total of 12.42 lbs. A total of 5 keepers over 2 days for him. I didn't see a limit weighed by any of the co's on any of the 2 days. How often do you see that? The co that finished 3rd, weighed in only one fish on Friday and it was dead.

The fish are really spread out especially the shallow ones so I could see the am's having trouble when the pro is bank burning. I burned a blade yesterday for 4 hours and only had 3 bites but they were all decent. Also, all the deeper fish I could find were in very small packs not big schools...I caught one here and one there on drop shot.
Champ188 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 QB, co-anglers are limited to three fish per day.
