SpoonDog Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Nice! There's some really great online resources for fly tying, I'd recommend checking out Charlie's Flybox. They go through step-by-step details for a whole host of patterns which are effective in Missouri - Slumpbuster, Barr's Bouface, Clouser Minnow, Deceiver, Fat Albert, Gurgler, hair divers, matukas, Meat Whistle, Sculpzilla, Zonker, mohair leeches. Definitely worth checking out.
Lancer09 Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 Got back on the vise for the first time since I got back from vacation. I'll be down somewhere around the Black for Labor day camping. Do I need more to throw for the Smallmouth Bass Fishes? No. But why not? BilletHead and jtram 2
Flysmallie Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Your selections are really close to what I would have confidence in. I might add a bigger yellow streamer. And I would have a handful of gurglers. And probably just throw a gurgler the whole time.
fishinwrench Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Wow, guinea feathers! The flyshop guys gotta love you.
jtram Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Same mindset myself as of late. BilletHead, Lancer09 and Amery 3

Flysmallie Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I like that. I could probably even tie one of those.
Lancer09 Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 And I would have a handful of gurglers. And probably just throw a gurgler the whole time. You remind me that my stash of them is getting low. Something else as well. BilletHead 1
