Justin Spencer Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Guess there wasn't enough prayer to keep him from getting re elected. fishinwrench Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Guys prayer is a very powerful tool and I think it's time to start praying that the leaders of this country start to make some better decisions. Sad to think that the mindset of our country has led to such drastic measures. Praying for resolution and that more people start opening their hearts to Gods will. Sad to think that a president like Obama could not only get elected but could get reelected. Phil Robertson for president! :-) Pretty sure that specific prayer has been "up for consideration" for a Looooong Tiiiime. It must have gotten vetoed. Apparently it just doesn't fit into "the plan". Ya reckon? Or maybe our leaders ARE making the right decisions, but WE are just to ignorant to realize it.
Justin Spencer Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Always too many praying for the opposite, offsets each other, or gets confusing for the big guy. I've been praying for the Royals since I was 11, think I'll try islam next. Members austin870 Posted October 7, 2013 Members Posted October 7, 2013 What most people don't realize is that the reason the federal government has and is constantly acquiring more land is because those lands are used as collateral for the national debt. This was necessary when Nixon put the last nail in the coffin by completely un-backing the dollar after Johnson eliminated silver coins. All state owned lands are not collateral. Just like in any corporate bankruptcy or default, the creditors seize your land and assets. This is not the first rodeo for these bankers.
Members CanoeBoy Posted October 7, 2013 Members Posted October 7, 2013 Maybe its better that these ramps are closed, especially for some of these idiots I see on youtube "lauch fails" there is some ridicuous launches that are worth watching if you need a few laughs.
Champ188 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Ryan, I agree with every word and applaud you for your stand-up post. This nation was founded on faith, thus the motto In God We Trust. And for 237 years we've flourished under His protective hand. But along the way, we've become increasingly ungodly and are beginning to pay the price for it. I'm with you on Obama. Bad enough we elected him to start with, but unbelievable to me that he won a second term. Bush may not have been the best, but at least we had a God-fearing man in the White House. We are living in scary times.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 7, 2013 Root Admin Posted October 7, 2013 Probably ought to bring this back to the original topic of access to Corp lakes. Is anyone putting in at these ramps at all, moving barricades and such? Has anyone gotten tickets for violating the order? Anyone heard how this is affecting marinas like Cape Fair?
Feathers and Fins Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Phil I briefly ran buy Prairie Creek yesterday and saw a few boats in the parking lot, either they moved the barricades or were doing something else, I cant say for sure but its suppose to be closed. Marina parking lot had fewer cars in it than normal but also could have been from the cold weather. 12 Bridge lot was much busier than normal for this time of year as were other ramps non-corp operated so my guess is some are moving barricades others are not wanting to push the issue. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
GNSfishing Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Cape Fair marina is open and have held their tournaments as scheduled. They have created an area in front of their docks which could be used to launch a boat they removed a section of the walkway and placed some marking buoys for a pathway to the area trying their best to accommodate their customers. The campgrounds are closed and the ramps are supposed to be closed altho the ramps are not blocked off. So whether the rangers are writing tickets or towing vehicles is unknown at this time. I did hear that a vehicle was towed from the Campbell Point area don't if that is so or not. The Bridgeport ramp is open and a few people are using it.
