bfishn Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Google "park official ordered to make life difficult" OK, I'll play. Let's see... blog blog blog blog crediting Washington Times search Washington Times site Aaaahhh Wes Pruden, the infamous Kloset Klansman said a Park official said that. If ol' Wes said it, it must be true. Wes, the author of such recent objective pieces as; PRUDEN: A president as clueless as ever Published September 30, 2013 PRUDEN: The bad boy at the party Published September 27, 2013 PRUDEN: Hillary's roots give her away Published September 24, 2013 PRUDEN: Happy to be the doorkeeper Published September 20, 2013 PRUDEN: Laughter drowned in sorrow Published September 17, 2013 PRUDEN: Measuring Putin for Mount Rushmore Published September 13, 2013 PRUDEN: Obama's war with no name Published September 9, 2013 PRUDEN: A legacy for Barack Obama Published September 5, 2013 PRUDEN: The government keeps no secrets Published September 3, 2013 All that in just the last month. Not a single credible news source played that garbage. Fox wouldn't even touch it. I can't dance like I used to.
Feathers and Fins Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Basic Fundamental Question: If you can afford the absolute best healthcare available and are willing to pay for it (best technology, best hospital, best doctor, etc), great. Are those who can't afford it entitled to the same? Yes or no? Certainly ( If they work for it and EARN IT ). Hey when I first started out I couldn't afford the best of the best of anything but through hard work determination I can now afford what I want. So if someone wants to work hard and EARN IT then by all means they should be entitled to what they earn. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
mixermarkb Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 So. The inner city kid of a single mom who has turned her back on the drug culture and is clawing her way out of the hood by working at McDonalds or Walmart should just die because his or her mom can't afford cutting edge cancer treatment?
bfishn Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Basic Fundamental Question: If you can afford the absolute best healthcare available and are willing to pay for it (best technology, best hospital, best doctor, etc), great. Are those who can't afford it entitled to the same? Yes or no? Good question. I had to chew on that one a bit. Had you used 'worthy' or 'deserving' I might say yes. Entitled? No. Not at this point in time anyway. But ACA doesn't work that way anyway. A hard-working, minimum wage Joe might be able to qualify for the cheapest bronze insurance plan, which still leaves him 40% out of pocket. If faced with a common $50K procedure, he'd have to decline, not having the $20K for his share. He could however, possibly scratch up enough to cover his portion of some basic healthcare for the more common maladies, and get some preventative help along the way. Anyone else can still get whatever treatment they or their insurance can afford. I can't dance like I used to.
fishinwrench Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 So. The inner city kid of a single mom who has turned her back on the drug culture and is clawing her way out of the hood by working at McDonalds or Walmart should just die because his or her mom can't afford cutting edge cancer treatment? Sounds awful when that's the only part of the story that's told. For further review let's go back and see how the kid got cancer to begin with, and who (if anyone) diagnosed....then refused to treat him....and the real reason why. I doubt that it's about money.
mixermarkb Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 James 1:22, Matthew 5:42 and 19:20, Luke 14:12-14, Ephesians 4:28, Jeremiah 22:13-17, 2nd Corinthians 9:6-9 Those of you who like to look things up may want to look these up and read them. Is the ACA perfect? No, not to this libbie commie. But it's a step in the right direction. Jesus didn't believe in the survival of the fittest. Darwin did.
Feathers and Fins Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 So. The inner city kid of a single mom who has turned her back on the drug culture and is clawing her way out of the hood by working at McDonalds or Walmart should just die because his or her mom can't afford cutting edge cancer treatment? How about all the kids in Africa that have no medical, Or Mexico or South America. Does an Inner City Child deserve more than they do. Just because they were born in America? Sorry the "Poor child poor me" argument will NEVER work with me. I struggled I went through medical crises and yet somehow managed to find ways, There are programs to help people in emergency situation. But Na the poor child argument will never work with me. Good tactic but doesn't hold water in my book. call me cold or whatever. But people need to EARN their way in life and Earn what they get, not have it "entitled to them" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Justin Spencer Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 No, of couse they aren't entitled to the best, I assume that means travelling shore to shore getting the latest greatest treatments, which takes money to get there and that eliminates most of the poor. The real question is do they deserve the common treatments at their local hospitals. I won't pretend to know enough about chemo, or HIV treatments, but I sure would hate to tell someone that they have a treatable disease, but since your company went bankrupt and you have no money or credit I can't save you. Do we currently treat cancer or other terminal diseases for people not on medcaid that can't pay for the treatment? If so, the taxpayer pays for it, but under ACA, this person would hopefully have some sort of insurance. It will take lots of tweaking, and several years, but eventually I really think obamacare will help our healhcare system. Then the dems will call it obamacare, and the GOP will call it the ACA.
