Quillback Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Suspending Wart, I bet you could get a buck or two for those.
*T* Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Bought a 6-Pack offer of Suspend Warts many, (many) years ago in colors HotTiger, Tennessee Shad, solid Chartreuse, Baby Bass, Brown Crawdad and Red Crawdad. Still have maybe 4 of those plus 3 or 4 other "supenders" I purchased at different times. By far these are my favorites of all of my warts. Ham Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Couldn't a person easily make a standard Wart a suspending Wart with lead wire or lead dots? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Alex Heitman Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Ham you could make it suspend but I think it would kill the action of it
Ham Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I'm gonna find out. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Champ188 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Never tried it with the standard size but we used to make the big Mag Warts suspend by using the Storm strips and dots. We threw them over deep hydrilla beds on Ouachita and DeGray in Arkansas and caught some big darn fish on them. Didn't seem to hurt the action on them but the smaller ones might be a different story.
Quillback Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I'm gonna find out. I'm going to try that myself. I've heard through the grapevine that a suspender or slow floater fishes better than an unmodified "new version" wart.
Pepe Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Suspendots on regular warts worked very well for me in the 90's. I just got them all hung up and lost in cedar trees. Kids all through college and weddings paid off, it may be time to try again.
Members wayne b Posted October 5, 2013 Author Members Posted October 5, 2013 Thanks again guys I think I may hang on to them might even try a couple of them out since they have already been used. I might have to have some painted if I like fishing them. Before I do I think I will buy a lure retriever though.

I might have to have some painted if I like fishing them. Before I do I think I will buy a lure retriever though. This is a MUST. Not only will it pay for itself almost immediately but when I started using a lure retriever it actually made me a better fisherman because I am now willing to throw cranks and jerk baits in places I may have thought twice about before I had a retriever in the boat.
