moguy1973 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 If Beltran goes away Craig will play right and Adams will stay at first. Carpenter can play 3rd and Furcal is still on the team and will come back from Tommy John's to play 2nd. I think we are in good shape for those thwo question marks... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Al Agnew Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Heck of a performance by Wainright. Good defense except for the brain fart by Kozma that kept that inning alive and resulted eventually in the Pirates' only run. But how about Waino pitching through two pieces of bad luck and a mental error in the field and just getting ANOTHER Pirate to ground out. That was actually a 10 inning complete game, because he should have gotten six outs in that one inning. And it was fitting that he struck out Alvarez the Cardinal killer on three straight nasty curves to end the game.
stlfisher Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Great game by waino last night. Can't wait to see Adams over a full season
Greasy B Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 It was a great game. I could have done without the Bozo's who called the game. I don't think they bothered to learn the team. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 10, 2013 Root Admin Posted October 10, 2013 That HR by Adams was a thing of beauty. I loved watching Jim Edmonds hit homers... Adams reminds me of Edmonds - put a lot of top spin on the ball - but with more power.
exiledguide Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Wacha reminds me of Plimpton's fictional Sidd Fich who one day showed up and had a 140 mph fastball and wouldn't Matt Adams be perfect for a John Tunis novel? Probably before everyone else's time.
KCRIVERRAT Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Dodgers in 6. Then BoSox in 7. Royals in the playoffs next year. Chiefs in the playoffs this year. Cards in the playoffs forever. Rams suck. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
