Quillback
I've seen a thread where some folks showed an interest in being a marshal, just got an email from Bass Master saying that registration is open. Here's the link for those who are interested. http://www.bassmaster.com/marshal

huntest
I registered this morning at 9, but was put on the standby list.....life members etc must have scooped the available spots. I have an issue with them sitting on your registration fee until after the event is over even if you don't get in.....poor policy and rare..... sit on your money for 7 months....(cash flow issues?) . Champ188
May as well draw interest on it while they have it, huh? LOL. Welcome to the Jerry McKinnis era of BASS.
crazy4fishin
I started trying at 6 a.m. and it wasn't until 9 that I was able to "get in" One would of thought I was applying for medical coverage from the Federal Government!! I to am on the waiting list. Huntest you are right - I talked to a lady in their office last week and she told me that if I was a life member I would be able to sign up then....for only $500 - decided to wait and take my chances. But you are right - I see that they already charged my card. O well - I have done this quite a few times and it was worth it. Sore Thumbs
FYI. Everyone is on the waiting list when you sign up. I registered tues morn at 9 online and it said I was on the waiting list. I called the office at BASS and the lady explained that everyone gets waiting list status. Not real sure why. You would think the spots fill up as they are paid for. I'm in the same boat as you guys. Wait and hope. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
huntest
Never really known of a business that would charge a customer in full many many months in advance of a purchase that may not even occur....speaks to unusual business ethics and taking advantage of an opportunity to deposit a substantial amount of money
crazy4fishin
Not the norm for sure - basically it is a great way to generate cash flow and in the event that any one of us isn't chosen then the few $$$ that they credit back is probably far less than the interest on a line of credit assuming that is the way they run the business.
