fishinwrench Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 That was sarcasm in it's finest form Well played Ham! A guy buying a boat with his wife in mind....proof that all that glitters is not sold Bunches of those "compromise boats" for sale with incredibly low hours on them. The wife is usually good for two half-days during the life of that boat. Buy her a jet ski and set her free, if she comes back she's yours, if she doesn't then she never was....AND YOU UNLOADED A JET SKI !
mixermarkb Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Price no object? Bass Cat. The best built fiberglass bass boat currently made. Period. What the Pierce family has done with the development of their manufacturing is amazing. Plus, you get the best customer service in the industry, from a family owned company, here in the ozarks. Best bang for the buck? Late 90's, early 2000's Champion 203. One of, if not the best riding and handing hulls on the water, (in the hands of a capable driver) and all the bells and whistles of anything made, for mid teens $$, vs $40's for a new boat. Ride in anything you are seriously looking at. Pick the roughest, windy, nasty day you can find. Get in the boat with someone who knows how to drive, and go for a ride. Then drop the trolling motor, walk around, see how stable it is while fishing. Lots of great boats around, pick the one that fits how you use a boat. I know if I was buying new, it would be a Bass Cat, probably an Erya.
Old plug Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The thing about most bass fishermen and everyone else is that have driven the price of everything to do with fishing up into the stars. Fishermen think they have to buy the best and newest of everything. I seen someone say on here something like" well it is ok for a $7 dollar plug". Anther thing is rods and reels. The thing about both of those things it is the pros push them and like a school of white bass frenzy feeding all the cool fishermen race out there and bite. Ido like the new very long casting rods but I think the price i see is ridiculous. The pros and such are always fishing with the alleged best equipment and lures. NUTS. Let me tell you something he is fishing with them because UPS is showing up at his door now and then with boxes of junk for him to use next time he goes out.
